In FSX, is 0 on/true and 1 off/false? Or is it the opposite? Will the FSX bloom effect work without DX10? Perspiring minds want to know.
Thank you!

Thanks plenty. Part 2, what is needed for the bloom effect in FSX to function?
Thanks again!

They had a Russian 'authured' Bloom for FS2004 ( I still need to find that). I wonder if such a thing will work in FSX 'without' DX10?

The Russian ENB bloom works in FSX in DirectX9 mode, which means, when the graphical option nammed "DirectX10 preview" is disabled in FSX.
The FSX internal bloom graphical option works both in DirectX9 and DirectX10 modes, but in DirectX9 mode it has a very big (critical) FPS impact. OrbX provided some alternative bloom shaders that minimizes the impact of this bloom in DirectX9, though.
