Has anyone put this on their pa;let of paint yet?
I wanted to do it but haven't found any good shots of the artwork for it.

I haven't done it. For the nose art, this maybe?

Here are some more photos that may be of some help.

Note that most decal sheets, and the artwork on both of the Mustangs that fly today in the markings of Petie 2nd, have white letters with a black surround. However, notice how in the original wartime photos, the lettering appears quite dark, even looking as if it has a 'gradient' to it. I've sometimes seen this depicted, I think, with yellow letters with a red gradient bleeding off from bottom to top. (Note too the bare-metal carb filter panel - when the nose was painted, the aircraft was likely fitted with the cold-weather non-perforated carb filter panels, but reverted to the perforated type sometime later when these photos were taken.
Here are some decals made from one of the restored examples (note modern stickers and reg number included, that are applied under the tail on the restored aircraft): http://tailormadedecals.com/xtc2/pop...ID=241&imgID=2
