    Configuration File

    To All,

I believe there is a configuration file (combatcfs.cfg) that can have certain values edited.

Is there any place that explains what each line of code represents?

    Thank you!

Not much but take a look at CFS-code and then Dp-edit, may help a little

i've never seen a complete listing
    of the combatfs.cfg coding.

i am aware of a few of the entries,
    but not the whole lot.
are there any in particular you're interested in?
    maybe we can help.

that's a pretty good one, Dave.
    i hadn't noticed it before.
although, it's begging to be updated.
that might make an interesting project.
    ...someday.

    Thank you both.

At the moment, I have not yet had a chance to fly a single sortie, but am hoping to do so this week.

In IL-2, there are chances to change sound settings, the level of detail in the scenery (etc) and a relatively full list of what each line of code is responsible for:

EG. Like in the link for the CFS1 code where
Maximized=1 then CFS will autoload into a maximized window

I guess simply looking for knowledge Smilo in order to take full advantage of running the game maxed out and enjoying it's full potential.

I will definitely follow up on this.

Well, I tried to fly but I could not get my joystick to work!

I did fly CFS2 without any issues (very rusty to say the least and could not remember any keyboard commands) but all in all good fun.
