    If you don't have this beauty yet, at half price this is a MUST buy. There is so much to explore and play with! It flies beautifully, and it's sleek and cool lines are stunning.

    Also, the paintkit is fun and easy to use. You can get creative . . .

    I highly recommend it!

    Got mine earlier this evening, and I have to say it was a while since I was this pleasantly surprised by an aircraft! It really is a gadget in the best possible way; if you like ipads and smartphones you will like this!
    Fun to fly and easy to use but still packed full of nifty 'toys'.

    Hey guys,

    To all of the new Ave pilots, be sure to read through the Manual. Its in PDF format in the Manual folder in the Avelina aircraft folder. At least paruse through the Instruments section and the auto pilot section. Those are musts.

    The steering wheel can be immediately hidden, so if it annoys you, just hide it first thing. I made it to hide (lowered to 45%) so it should never be in the way.

    Some basic notes;
    * Green is active, blue is sleeping/off line. (All settings and AP systems show in blue. When one is turned on, such as HDG, it turns green).
    * Magenta is 'locked' and white is not locked / not active. (Air speed, Altitude, Heading, VSI will be white. When AP is on, these turn Magenta).
    * When in flight, and you decelerate through 85 knots, you will hear a 'ding'. This is the 'yellow' zone on your air speed zone (low speed). When you hit 55 knots and less, an alarm will sound. This is your 'red' speed zone. The 'stall alarm' is even 'cooler'. You will need to set up full up (back) elevator trim and cut the motors for testing stall.
    * Automatics handles by the flight computer are;
    1. Gear retracts up when over 135 knots
    2. Windows (if down) will raise at 120 knots+
    3. When descending through 250 feet on down, if the gear is not deployed, the gear will extend automatically if the batteries have power
    4. When passing through 7,000 feet, a ding occurs (special only for this) announcing auto cabin pressurization. It occurs again when descending through this altitude. You can adjust altitude atmosphere pressure in the AC system, top right.
    5. When you turn on the AC system, small intercooler radiator boxes will deploy down on each wing, similar to the boxes on an Me-109 German fighter. The boxes raise back up when the AC is turned of.
    * You have 3 choices of pilots and you can hide them as well
    * On the settings page in the Kiosk, you can set up several different background color schemes on the main PFD instrument screen. One is yellow and goes well with the yellow interior/color scheme pack. Same with the red version wallpaper.

    Have fun. Dont fry the motors by keeping them at full throttle. You can run them very low as they have high torque. She is overpowered for emergencies and climbouts. Cruise is high, so you should need little power for nice cruise speeds.

    For some sim training, try setting up a flight with 2% fuel (voltage) and see what happens in the air. She can be belly landed and will slide to a stop with gear up. The skid, built into the airframe on the belly will keep damage from occurring to the airframe (pressure shell) when touching down on a smooth or grassy surface. She can put down on water as well. Retract the intercoolers (turn off the AC) if belly landing.

    All about fun and flying......

    So.. In case you all havent noticed, she has an 'automotive' design theme that I styled her from on some of her lines, such as the nose of the cowling and the side windows. Does anyone know what car company they appear to look like?

    Well, it is a 'flying lady' for sure! (BTW Is that hood ornament on top of the nose?)

    On the technical side she resembles a Fisker Karma, with the solar panels, 'range extender' engine and iPad style screens. On the outside it does have the BMW kidneys and the 'hofmeister kink' in the rear windows.
