My son and I met Brad Freeman (in the third picture) when I was on staff at First United Methodist, Columbus, Mississippi. Our set of "Band of Brothers" DVDs is autographed by him. A sweet, gentle, humble man, he had to be prompted to talk about himself and his war experience; he much rather showed us his gardens and trees. We enjoyed an afternoon on his front porch. Like Tom Brokaw implied, these guys are part of that Greatest Generation. God bless 'em!
