    Flusirainer's MiG-21M/MF B2.1

I've downloaded and installed the updated MiG-21 by Flusirainer, to include the armament options plus peripherals (intake/exhaust plugs & chocks). I can change all loadouts; the engine starts fine and the bird behaves very well indeed. My only problem is the plugs and chocks remain grey rather than the red they should be. What am I missing?

The texture file needs to be updated.

If you have DXTBmp, take a look at diverse.bmp. The older repaints are missing the color for the chocks, which should be on the right side of the texture. I had to do a 'cut-and-paste' to update the older texture files.

Thanks for getting back. I don't have DXTBitmap, but looking at the new texture files I'm getting an icon instead of the normal diverse.bmp images in the old texture. Before I go monkeying around with any cut-and-pasting, I've got to get rid of that icon and get a clear image of the new diverse.bmp.

Here is a comparison of diverse.bmp from texture.548 that came with the original Mig.

    Attachment 59494 Attachment 59495

The first image is the original texture. The image on the right is the updated texture.

Using an update texture, I copied the section for the chocks and added them to an unedite texture.

I can't get my diverse bmp to open, or even to copy; what is displayed tells me it's a bmp image, but it can't be uploaded to this site. It's the standard Windows blue sheet with the paintbrush superimposed over it. I have ImageTool and it won't open the new diverse bmp from the 2.1 MiGs.

Later: tried something with one of the images you sent above, but that didn't work, either. Too bad there isn't a converter for these textures like there was for the MiG-15 and -17 textures from Bear Studios - you just copied the old textures to the new update folder, then ran each of them through the converter and they were ready for use with the update.

Reckon this just isn't meant to be.

Don't know, Steve, I'm downloading it as I write this, and will review. These are all excellent textures, BTW. Will check this out and report results.:salute:

Steve - most of the textures in my setup were yours, they updated perfectly. I went a step further and updated the rest as well. All textures now work fine in the sim. Many thanks!!!:salute:

OK, you got me on these two also - are they at the same site as the last one I inquired about?

you know, i actually tried it out, but the throttle was going back to idle instead of staying at full throttle.

Basically... the throttle resets itself to zero thrust.

Is the fuel menu "External1" greater than zero must be in the payload menu the "body" with 48kg or 103 lbs to be loaded.

Is the fuel menu "External2" greater than zero must be in the payload menu the "right out" and "left out" with 48kg or 103 lbs to be loaded.
