    SOH Team Project - Grumman Tracker, Trader, Tracer works great ..

    ... in FSX - though it is meant for FS9.

    Really eye-candy and coming with phantastic engine sounds! The only minor adjustment required is the replacement of the props

    I agress with Newcomer. She is fairly easy to trap on the carrier.

    Wow, what a surprise! I somehow missed the development of this model. I think both these models will make a good port-over project and hope someone will take on the task. The prop textures appear to be on a Misc texture file and for the life of me I'm not sure how to isolate the material in that file to tweak the prop(it's not a simple drop in replacement from what I see). But if someone takes on the project I would be willing to convert the rest of the textures over to dds format & test them. I think this could be a real winner in FSX.

    The prop is in the spinprop.bmp and can be edited with DXTBMP in the most traditionnal way

    Newcomer, can you click on the overhead buttons from the default view position in the VC ? I can't click them until I move my eyepoint very close to them... :/

    Same here - I use the pop-up windows to operate the buttons. The only ("essential") button that is not available as a "pop-up" is the button for the planeīs searchlight (which is on the copitlotīs right hand side).

    A stoof with a roof at last

    I have added these entries below the tailhook entry in the cfg for cat launch

    [launch_assistance]
    launch_bar_pivot = 11.00, 0.00, -7.25
    launch_bar_lug = 11.00, 0.00, -7.25

    [LSO]
    LSOAdjustSpeed=0.65

    Just a quick edit to see how it handles

    new prop textures

    Ah, thanks a lot for this confirmation. I was wondering if it was just my computer or a general issue.
    I guess we'll have to wait for the FSX-conversion to get a fully working virtual cockpit then

    To be honest - before you mentioned that the buttons were clickable, I hadnīt noticed that !
    As I have Track IR it is now easy to "lean forward" and "click" ...

    Thanks bruce 448 for the cfg entries!

    John of "Warbirdsim" fame (Bomber12th) is already working on the conversion of the A-26 to FSX.

    There are E-1B, C-1A, and S2F-1-2 manuals downloadable from the net.

    There is a C-1A that will be released this week, possibly Tuesday. Just putting finishing touches on her.

    Brings back lots of memoeies of the old days of driving past NADC in Warminster, Pa with the E-1's and S-2's parked on the ramp.

    Thanks to the team for some great planes!

    How do you extend Mad boom and lower radome? The concorde nose keys don't want to work for me.

    In the OPS doc, see this:

    Operating Comments
    1. Doors - shift+e for passenger door, and shift+e then 2 for bomb doors
    2. Radome, TWA, Folding antenna uses the Concorde extend/retract nose commands-assign appropriate keys in FS to operate - I use cntrl+U and shift+U.

    In FSX, that may not work for you though.

    As I said, this was not intended for FSX. :-)

    I tried to convert to nosewheel stearing, but the instructions for it weren't where the documentation said they would be.

    Documentation:

    "3. Steering using differential wheel braking and separate engine throttles - or, to convert to "steerable", open aircraft.cfg and swap the first contact point per instructions there."

    CFG:

    [contact_points]
    static_pitch = 3.93
    static_cg_height = 6.75
    tailwheel_lock = 0
    gear_system_type = 1
    max_number_of_points = 9
    point.0 = 1.000, 14.087, 0.000, -7.808, 1950.000, 0.000, 1.050, 180.0, 0.180, 6.142, 1.000, 6.000, 6.000, 0.000, 150.000, 150.000
    point.1 = 1.000, -.95010, -9.30, -7.604, 2500.000, 1.000, 1.500, 0.000, 0.921, 1.260, 0.800, 6.000, 6.000, 2.000, 150.000, 150.000
    point.2 = 1.000, -.95010, 9.30, -7.604, 2500.000, 2.000, 1.500, 0.000, 0.921, 1.260, 0.800, 6.000, 6.000, 3.000, 150.000, 150.000
    point.3 = 2, -20.738, 0, -5.28, 1600, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 9

    What do I swap for nose wheel stearing? Nice little plane, BTW. The only place I've ever seen them was at NAS North Island, so that's where I've been flying it. Cheers.
