That looks EXTREMELY interesting... especially if it can be adapted to other planes...

Even though I don't have the Carenado V-35, I downloaded this package from Flightsim.com to see how it works.
As expected, it's a bunch of gauges that analyze in real time the behavior of your airplane and determines failures, wear and damage accordingly.
I transfered the gauges to the default C172 for a short test, and I could see it successfully detected flaps overspeed (and my flaps stopped working) and hard landing (and the plane position of ground changed).
I should do more testing to see if the engine parameters are set correctly, but basically it seems that this module is a concrete attempt to reproduce a kind of Accusim or at least a system comparable to the Katana.
Wear and damages seem to be "saved" across flights, too, just like Accusim. That's nice.
Adaptation to other models is limited though, because some parameters are stored into a config file that requires some original gauges from the Carenado V-35, so I probably won't be able to get all the features to work on the C172...
Just tried this in the V35B and it works very well, it knows when you have been naughty and helps you repair any damage you may have done to your aircraft.
It also reminds you to check your oil level and top up if needed, apply the parking brake etc.
If I find any probs i will let you know, in the meantime I am going to try this with the Carenado A36.
I am still testing the adaptation on the default C172.
The various thresholds are hard-coded into the XML gauges exactely like the first version of the RealEngine gauges.
I could verify that the wear and damage factors are really saved automatically into a small file, which means the plane damage stays from a flight to another, like with Accusim.![]()
This is one of the best freeware offerings I have seen in awhile. Works as advertised and is similiar to Real Engine but covers more options and also saves your damage if you log off without fixing anything. It has a small window that comes with Shift 6 that tells you what state the plane is in and shows items to be fixed if needed plus checks your oil.
I hope he brings out a version that will have adjustable selections so we could apply it to almost any plane including airliners.
Here is the window that comes up, and as you can see, I have been very bad.
