The ShadowPlay capture was fine, but the upload to YouTube (640 x 174) caused a lot of weird distortions and killed it.

The original video was 1920 x 512 and that was already a 50% reduction from my 3840 x 1024 screen resolution.

Massive raid, Inbound 280+ aircraft BOB..
Built a spawn that has 240 in it, and added another 50 with proper placement of the formations.
    This is getting interesting.

The Polish pilots of the Battle of Britain were amazing. I have set up a set of 200+ aircraft missions, to match the numbers engaged . Takes a bit of arranging with how the CFS3 game engine is set up. But it really changes how I like (fly) these. Much better for me using the large formations, a true challenge..
Had to make a smoking "dead stick" landing, but still made it

    Bomber Question

HouseHobbit , I noticed that the bombers in the above pics are turning either left or right far ahead of the fighter. Is there anyway to make them fly straight ahead ?

Much of the avoiding, turning is from my attacks.. One is from a spawn in a screenshot I made for 240 aircraft. ( a test) That is wild to watch suddenly 240 aircraft explode into the mission.
Once they "explode" they settle down and fly correctly. the ones where I place the aircraft that doesn't happen.

In a formation where they are tightly packed, once the AI and the player start attacking the AI Bombers tend to avoid any attackers that get too close..
And the turning often are from this. action.

If you leave the bomber formations alone and don't attack.
    They fly straight and level.
Sorting out the formations is the challenge in the missions when building them.

    Hi Owen,

Are the 240 a/c in one big formation or lots of little ones? If lots of little formations are used, can they be set at different altitudes, say 100m apart? Then from above and below the massed formation would still look amazing, but the AI pilots might not get "the yips".

Hi David, I am just experimenting with all of this. When I place the individual, formations they all fly nicely. But this takes a great deal of time to set up.
Trying to develop a spawn or set of spawns that will do this also.

The Bombers seem to start avoiding at 800 ft. or so..(from each other)
So placing them requires that they be at least this far apart.
As these as I develop this method for missions. I am making notes on how best to set Large formations up, without having to spend many hours just placing the aircraft.
Lots of outside the box thinking for this right now.

Looks good guys, nice to see it. Any plans to do a dropping deck version that can be landed on? Check out some of the carriers we already have to see what I mean. Basically the closest LOD has the deck at water level and at farther LODs the deck is progressively brought up to its full height so it looks normal the majority of the time.

Edit: oops, meant to put that in the other thread.

Getting the formations set, the AI do attack well and spread the formations.
    200+ aircraft formation B-17's..
Different altitudes for the bombers vary 1,000ft to 1500ft top to bottom, Bomber stream about 7 miles long.
    Much fun..

Been polishing up a Large Formation set for ETO 1.50..
The AI Bf 109's were not bashful to say the least.

I was in the center of a large well stacked formation when the 60-Bf 109's attacked.
The AI bomber like to evade, and cause the formations to spread some.
But the nasty Bf 109's Also cause a true Fur ball.

The P-51's engage and drive off the bf 109s, but not before several Bf 109s make passes.

I was in the B-17 as this Luftwaffe crazy AI just missed buy a few feet, in this dive into the formation.
