We have working land and sea mines in ETO, but the concept isn't suitable for an aerial mine.

More excelling at Hawkinge, Clive: I think detail of everything like batt. cables, prop. decals (eg) and the buildings give a real 'feel to the place'. (think still some buildings survive down here).

Are aerial mines just sea-mines dropped from air; or more sinister/special?

No xpert, but wonder if ordinary cfs3 bomb going off below water-level (level mathematically adjusted out, would work as mine/ (sort of + xtra 'damag' models)

Could be wrong, but I think what Nigel is talking about is essentially a bomb towed behind an aircraft for use against a formation of enemy aircraft. I have no idea how this could be implemented in CFS3.

It requires WM scenery to work. The P-51 skin is available here in the archive, don't remember who the uploader was.

Parachute mines, actually. Operation Mutton. The Harrow carried 160 mines which it would sow in a temporary - of course - minefield measuring some 1 3/4 miles wide by 2000 feet depth. The mine was attached to a parachute, not towed behind the aircraft.

This system was used between October 1940 and March or April 1941 by No. 420 Flt, later No. 93 Sqn. It may have caused the destruction of... two or three German aircraft. Or more. Difficult to tell, really.
