    Multiple Saitek throttle quadrants

Can 2 Saitek throttle quadrants be paired up for twin engine configuration?

They can. I have a pair working in FSX, but it should be no different for you in FS9. The hassle part is that they both have the same name in the controller menu.

    Thanks
Been spending most of my time in CFS2, but thought I would crank up the Beechcraft and/or the DC-3 and would be nice to have dual engine controls. Have yet to purchase the yoke and throttle quads. Do have the X-52 for combat along with the rudder pedals. Looking at maybe the CH multi engine throttles.

I have 4 throttle quadrants set up on FS9 and FSX no problem at all.

The real issue for me has always been to make a major change to the controllers I have found it is necssary to rename and rebuild the FS9.cfg file then make any changes to the settings.

Which is always a lot of work because FS9 and FSX both assign all the buttons on each controller to the default settings. This is a pain because you need to remove all of them and set them to the desired function. Don't forget to remove the buttons from the rudder pedals also. Funny how it assigns buttons that are not there.

I have two three-lever Saitek quadrants. The best thing to do IMHO is to use FSUIPC to configure the controllers and not Windows or even the Saitek programs.
You do need to have the registered version to make full use of this but when you do it is great.

The biggest gain is that you can then make the controller setup Aircraft Specific....meaning that as soon as that aircraft is loaded in the sim the axis/levers assume a configuration for that aircraft.

I have that set for example to be individual throttles, props and mixtures on my twins. When I load my Connies or other four engine prop liners each lever "automatically" operates two engines in tandem.
When I load a single one of the mixture levers becomes a elevator trim axis.

You do have to set this up...so there is a bit of work involved. But once it is set you simply load the plane and all is set.

    Cheers
    Stefan

Thanks for the input. I think I shall try the FSUIPC. I downloaded the SimSamurai tutorial for the CH line of products, but guess the principal applies for Saitek. Intend to read and understand before adventuring into it. Have not yet gotten my controls, but hope to have soon.Jim
