    Back at it!

    Like the title says. After some needed time away from this I am back in the game. My first bit of work involves an experiment that kills 50,000+ polys that made up the detailed engines. I replaced them with a disc that is textured with a screen shot of the full engine taken in Gmax. I am thinking it just might be passable, and it frees up desperately needed resources for the rest of the project.

    frankly its the best news ive heard in a long time .. Welcome home Rob.. PaulF and i will continue grading the flight model till we have it sifted down as fine as we can get it..

    Nice to see you back in the saddle Rob.

    Concerning the engine; I think it was a good move. Besides, can't see much anyway! A great way to regain resource for better use.

    Hey buddy! Glad to hear you took a break.... we all have to. Less polys for more details in other places sounds good to me. When I first saw cockpit photos... I was OMG!

    Glad to see work continuing. The savings of 50000+ plus pols should allow details elsewhere. The engine disk experiment looks pretty good judging from your pic. Many are watching and hoping for a finished product.
