A Multi-Player Event in Honor of Master Kazunori Ito's Return

    Gentlemen,

In honor of Kazunori Ito's return to Flight Sim and modeling on some level, I am suggesting an all weekend fly-in event to celebrate his creations and return.

Sim-Outhouse.net will be our "come together" spot.
We will fly the Islands of Japan all weekend to show respect for Ito's models.
We can fly any of his model creations.
There are no start or stop times but you can "group up" as you wish in similar speed models.

If you have no experience with flying MP, go over to the Flight Server forums and read the setup. There will be plenty of help and encouragement there.

    http://www.sim-outhouse.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=11

You will find setup info here:
    http://www.sim-outhouse.net/forum/showthread.php?t=8

I have been flying MP for 12 years now and love the experience of chatting with other simmers while flying.

I will come back to this thread to post some added comments as I get this ready.

Start anytime, join anytime, fly anywhere in Master Kazunori Ito model.

Let's show Ito we love his work and dedication to our hobby.

If you do not have any of Ito's work, you can find most at Flightsim where you will also find tweaks for the same.

Or, you can chase this thread and its links:

    OBIO (or anyone), any recommendations?

Online now with the DH86 after some tweaks flying to RJNH and using TeamSpeak.

    Anyone want to jump in?

Milton, I'll be online at some point this morning, just gathering my Ito aircraft together.

Today was my 1st attempt to fly online. I took Ito's F-86D Sabre Dog and I actually saw you and falcon409 at RJNH. Only thing is I could only view your planes as the default Cessna 172 (guess because I do not have the addons installed which you were flying).

Just a question from a newbie: Is the ATC chatter not shared between players? When I use my own AI traffic I can listen to lots of chatter between ATC and the AI traffic but today online I did not pick up any ATC comms from you guys. Could you hear/see my comms with ATC ?

Next thing I want to figure out is Teamspeak but 1st I must get a decent headset.

Yep, saw you in there (as a Cessna, lol). Remember, in FSX, you can change the other players aircraft to something you want to view. As for ATC, I don't believe that it is shared between MP players. We can all be taxiing down the rwy, but I think ATC in MP will only see me or you as a separate aircraft, not all of us together.

Ed, thank you for answering! Guess I have to rely on my old eyeballs next time, sure do not want to be the next rookie who crashed into someone else lol.

LOL We have all done that. Good idea to turn Crash off though.

    Welcome to the MP world.

    I'll be back in shortly.

Turning 'Allow collisions with other aircraft' OFF is a MUST when flying in MP otherwise you could get a crash if another player passes close to you or 'spawns' on the same end of the runway that you are sitting at. Normal MP courtesy says that you should select a parking space to spawn at rather than the active runway when joining the MP server.

You can leave the rest of the crash settings turned on if you want more realism.

A couple quick shots: The drawback to flying Ito's aircraft is that he did so many and I don't have the ones that Milton and Sir_G were flying so I made them both like me, just different liveries, lol. I'm in the default camo, Sir_G in the "Big Red" and Milton in the Blue/Gray camo.

Great idea Milton! I tried to set up team speak this afternoon, but it seems my microphone doesn't work (Or at least I can't get it to work).

In the past I enjoyed flying online with guys like Ferry, Willy and Gnoopey. It always was real fun, however somewhere we stopped doing it.

Hope to be able to join you soon!

    Cheers,
    Huub

Thanks Huub; I remember the days 5-6 years ago with Willy and Gnoopey as well practicing for the race, likely later than you refer to.

Here are some shots I took today with SrGalahad and Falcon.

    Nice shots Milton. . .
Here are a few more from some flying I've been doing tonight. My next flight will take me within about 20 miles of Ito Sans town. I couldn't find an airport any closer.

Thank you for towing the line falcon. My wife and I needed some quality time together this evening so I could not make it back.

    I appreciate your efforts. :-)
