So, Roger....
I used this today and have a couple questions.
1) Should I dial down the AI traffic when I'm on the server?
2) I'm assuming WX is real world, as is time. Would this be a correct assumption?
3) When I "pause", do I just pause my client, or am I affecting the server environment?
4) How do you do a hoplist?
These and other fascinating tidbits are no doubt handled elsewhere on the Forums, so if you could point me the right way, I will seek them out.

Basic Flying Rules: "Try to stay in the middle of the air. Do not go near the edges of it. The edges of the air can be recognized by the appearance of ground, buildings, sea, trees and interstellar space. It is much more difficult to fly there."
If you are flying in FS9 then AI traffic is automatically disabled, in FSX you will still see your AI traffic but other players on the server will not see your traffic nor you their's if they are also flying in FSX.
Weather is as set in your sim unless the server is set to over-ride local WX settings (usually only done for special events). Time is as you set it in your sim.
Please DO NOT pause the sim when on the MP server as doing so can block other people from joining. If you need to pause for anything more than a few seconds then disconnect from the server, pause and on return re-connect to the server.
When you join the server you will get a text message with information on the currently installed hop list. It will also tell you which airport the hop list starts from. Move your aircraft to that location to start either by restarting at that location, using the 'Move to airport' menu item or by dragging your plane there in 'Map' view. Once there you will get another message giving directions to get to the next airport (heading, ICAO code and distance). Fly to the designated airport and when you land the server will send a text message with details of the next location. Repeat as necessary. When you want to quit flying for the session the server will remember where you were and give you directions from there the next time you join provided that you use the same sign-in name each time.

Thanks Larry.
For those interested in trying out the online environment, I'll be conducting a flight this Saturday at 2:00pm US Eastern time.
Historically, I've tried to conduct 30min to 1 hour long flights online using different, popular FS multiplayer servers (not through Gamespy) every Saturday afternoon.
For this upcoming weekend, I'll use this server.
Date: Saturday, February 18
Time: 2:00pm US Eastern
Route:
Opotiki (NZOP), New Zealand
TO
Taupo (NZAP), New Zealand
Weather: Real world
Aircraft: Single or twin engine piston.
I recommend using the following scenery addons:
Vector Land Class - www.vectorlandclass.co.nz (payware)
TaupoX - http://fs-creations.org/index.php (payware)
Opotiki - http://www.vectorlandclass.co.nz/ind...id=1&Itemid=85 (freeware)
I will be connecting through FSHost.
Oh, and I'll probably stick around after this flight and tool around in Eastern Europe with the Tu-154...
