That's looking great Matt. Do you have the necessary templates for the rockets, turrets, and guns?

Also, the htail fillet is on the tails_t.bmp, center-top.

    WOW!!!

    Dang guys!
What a ride, As soon as I get up I grab my coffee and turn on the news...Not the channel 6 news, the "Lockheed Rounder" news.

    Mr. Shupe,
I LOOOOVE your work. Thank you for keeping these fantastic aircraft freeware. I can't get over how FAST! you produce such detailed and complicated aircraft. (It's a real head scratcher) Asses And Elbows Guys! Lets Go, Lets Go, Lets Go! SIR YES SIR!! I bet ya go through some coffee at the'ol office huh?

I like to build models but all they do is sit there. I realy wish I could do what you and the crew here can do.

    Matt,
Hats off to ya man! Incredible work! And again, How the heck do ya do it so fast? I started repainting about 3 months ago (My first
repaint was the "Spartan Executive" as a matter of fact) I hope it's ok Milton. Yeah! I am SOOO SLOOOW, I hope I get faster some
    day. It's fun!
Man, I can not WAIT to do a cross country in this beautiful bird

I would dearly love to contribute a skin for this beautiful plane once a paint kit is available!

This is shaping up to be an all time flightsim classic!

the speed comes from 7/8 years of practice, and also having various things saved all over the place containing stencils etc... for example for panel lines etc i know to use a 1px brush for curved or slightly angled lines, and a 1px pencil line for horizontals and verticals. stencils, 3-views (of which i estimate to have about 3000!) it's a matter of practice, having a graphics tablet also helps, see when i'm not repainting i'm doing logo work (latest being for a US based Defense Co.) or aviation profile art... always honing the skills, an army sergeant instilled it into me 'train to that knife-edge, don't overdo it or you'll get hurt somewhere, and don't underdo it as you'll dull, gotta stay on that edge'

needless to say i will be re-doing my Video series at some point, just so i can pass on what i know to the newer crop of painters, i can never take, i always have to give

    anyways here's the latest:

well she's just tasted the virtual skies for the first time since a new lick of paint at my Pacific Paint shop at PWAK (Where Americas day really begins! ).... still a few little bits to do but i'm happy so far, just gotta sort the flap upper sides and we're in business, Milton is it possible to have the Bomb bay textures (inner doors etc) as part of the internal mapping?

The last two image thumbnails actually look like a real one photographed at an airshow. Enlarging them to full size and I see it is FS9, but the thumbs looked like photos.

Indeed, these are getting more and more realistic, often taking a close second look!

Awesome work Matt! Looking forward to the video tutorials. My repainting skills are very weak, actually a joke.

Milton's SOH A-26 is my favorite to tinker with, and the Howard 500 is my favorite flyer. What you have done with this aircraft looks amazing! Name: thumbup.gif

Was looknig around for some Hudson photos and came across these :

Apparently the RAAF flew PV-1s during the war from the information I have found here so this may be of some interest to you.

    Pat,

I will not likely be doing the PV-1 and my hands are full with the Harpoon and Lodestar, and the other 5 aircraft in progress.

Fortunately, there is a payware Hudson and Ventura (I think, and maybe a PV-2) coming for FSX.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, I am slowly making tough progress with the interior model. Mapped the major parts today, have all animations working and the panel mapped for gauges. What you see here is just the exterior model panel texture.

I do not have a panel gauge programmer for this project so that is a big question mark right now.
If no one steps up for this to do original gauges and textures, I will have to cobble together stuff from our hangars, ... with Scott's permissions of course.
