    Oh ok, I see...
For a short moment, I thought you had modelled this white explosive band on the canopy. I thought "Wow, they are really into the details..."
However, I think I said it before, but I'm really curious to see the final model. I'm looking for a good Harrier since ages, one that would REALLY fly realistically, no matter what limitations FSX has. It seems your Harrier will have some interesting flight model so I'm keeping an eye on it.
The FPS friendly external model doesn't sound too good to my hears though :/ But I understand your motivations, already explained for the F-104.

Daube...extend your short moment.....the "bang pipe" is modeled in the canopy..
I'm not the right person to explain how this bird flies, because you can not ask to the greengrocer how fresh is his fruit. But I can surely say that we are spending a lot of time to give you the best Harrier we can do..As you said,we have a "low impact performance" policy, but we are trying to do our best to create a nice bird to see and a great plane to fly.
I know, there is another little point to consider..the Harrier is slightly ugly by itself....but this is another story..
    Stay tuned

Sometimes, ugly can mean beautifull, especially for airplanes.
You're talking to somebody how is in love with the F-117 :D

LOL, in Italy we say: "Ogni scarrafone è bell a mamm' soa", that literally means: every ugly bug is beautiful at his mother's eyes!!!
Ok, i'm in love with the Harrier, and i'm a beta tester, but I can declare that this is the best model of Harrier that has ever flown in FSX skies.

It may be perhaps a little off topic, but are there any informations about the F-104G modell mentioned in the past?

all is explained on our site at:
    http://www.vaafse.org/simskunkworks
    however i quote here:

    • Sadly, we must honestly admit, we're late on the development of both the F-104S, F-104G and AV-8B Harrier.
    • There are many reasons but the most clear is that we have miscalculated our time, the development of the 3 models together has taken longer than we thought.
    • We thought to deliver version 3.2 of the F-104 S with a new fuselage completely remade in 3DS and many other news before Christmas 2011, to distribute the F-104G at the end of January 2012 together with the Harrier and instead we have delay of a month and a half at least.
    • These are the bad news, the good ones are that the development of 'F-104S has come almost to the end and Harrier is at the end of beta testing.
    • We believe to be able to deliver the 'F-104S version 3.2 within 2/3 weeks, the HARRIER by the end of February and the F-104 G in the first half of March
    • We apologize for the delay and thanks for your patience.

    delay's are not generally bad!!

a incomplete model & Systems simulations on release day (where customer feels like a beta tester) that would be bad!

it seems you are late because of perfectism
I came to that conclusion after following the projects here at SOH boards

For the most part you're right, without even hide the technical problems that arise from our policy of having a fully working model in MP.
MP developing involves several stages: modeling, systems and last but not least programming in C/C++.
Is generally easier make a beautiful model using huge poly number, unfortunately models with 200/300 thousand polys are frame killers in MP with more than 2-3 players even in high-end machines (imho are frame killers also in SP)
Also system are much more complex since very few FSX parameters are transmitted and/or shared by FSX server, weapon deliver is an easy stuff in SP using sim objects, things are quite different in MP, models seen so far (as far i know, but i could be wrong) are not able to drop ordnance in MP so that they can be seen by other players. (Unless VRS TACPack that is still under a long way development and requires to have same dll installed in all players).
However you are right, we cannot be perfect nor we can model everything, but what we give you must work at full, mainly for this reason we are late.

Thx a lot for your fast answer, somehow I must have missed your statement.
So, I´m looking forward to the "G" ;-)

I'm also looking forward to the F-104G.

    mmm ... ...

I have some doubts on the accuracy of the radome and around the nose in to 3D model ...

    I think ... it's a little 'small and elongated ...

I thing you are right Merida72.
This radome looks like the one of the Agave Radar we found on french Dassault Aviation Super Etendard
and on Sepecat Maritime Jaguars ( Indian Air Force ).
