Hurricane91 may have the best opinion here.

The attached is the best I can offer.

At any rate, what you are doing is awesome! :-)

    Thanks Milton. :salute:

Yes, I.ve been scrutinizing that and the other reference pics but they don't give much away.

As I'll be working offline for the next coming days, I think I'll follow a hunch and give her the metal underskin treatment.

I agree with Nigel's hunch. I found this site which has some photos I have not seen before.
The second photo give a little better view of the wing center section (Mr Nebesar is on the
right). The article was written by Vaclav Sorel and sheds some light on the test flight problems.

    http://www.pilotinfo.cz/z-historie/avia-av-57

The same site has some interesting photos of the Avia 51 during construction.

    http://www.pilotinfo.cz/z-historie/avia-av-51

Again, the article by Mr. Sorel adds some additional information about the aircraft. While we were
researching the Avia 51, Premek Trucksa talked to Mr. Sorel briefly. He told Premek he was working
on a new book. I am hoping the book is about Nebesars aircraft designs at Skoda Works.

My thanks to Premek and Tomáš Rusek who provided me with invaluable photos and information on
    Mr. Nebesar's civil Avias.

Agreed with you and Hurricane. I think that would be the best bet.

    Again, nice work Nigel!

Great work on these forgotten aircraft!

If I may offer a suggestion for a future project .... A Polish PZL airliner like the PZL.44 or MD-12 would be fantastic.

  6. #1106
Thanks ... I have projects already slated for the next 18-24 months. The picture you posted confuses me as I thought the PZL-44 was a twin engine aircraft. Nice 14 seater.

    Just passing through...

Hurricane91: I cannot begin to thank you enough for unearthing these most valuable photos John. :salute:
That is what I call dedicated research.

Moses03: Thank you kindly for your continual input and kind encoragement.

Yes, my fault. The picture is of the PZL MD-12P. A failed 60's 4 engine polish feederliner.

Milton, you're a true flightsim/modeling addict at heart. It's good to see the AV57 as it progressed through all the stages of completion and gets closer to the hanger doors for it's unveiling.
Everyone involved throughout the AVIA projects has really put in their best efforts so we can enjoy them.

    Git'er Done!!

Hats off to everyone who has helped along the way. :salute:

Thanks OB, and yes, you are a prominent part of the Avia projects, both the Avia 51 and the 156. Thank you very much for that awesome contribution.

    Nigel,

There are a lot of amazing details and craftsmanship in this effort. My hat is off to you Sir for the long, arduous, painstaking journey to get and achieve top shelf results. I know, you say its fun ... and it will be for us ... as well. :-)

Thank you for your dedication to this very special aircraft.

Absolutely stunning Nigel. It looked like it was going to be a special piece of kit from the word go, but I honestly could not have imagined that it would turn out this fantastic.

    Cheers
    Stefan

    More details...?
Yeah Nigel, more 'little extas' please!
This is just not good enough!

Holy c..., this must be one of the best communal projects Milton & the SOH team have ever attempted!
But that's what I say about every one of M's new releases.
The next AC always steps up a mark.
Looking fantastic Nigel! I guess your sounds are just as promising!
Great work by everybody involved, really looking forward to the final release...

    Regards, Stuart

Stunning liveries Nigel. You certainly captured the polished texture of those enormous
    wing fairings. Excellent work.
