    Surprise, Behold!

An awesome and genuine 'Milton Blue'.

One of a kind, in glorious BROAD DAYLIGHT for the delight of all who see her.

Take a good look Gentlemen, for as of today, she is officially in the engine shop and will not re-emerge this silent!

Really looking forward to the '57'.. once she gets "Some clothing and a voice" as it was so eloquently put, definately a beauty... and those BIG TIRES! I can see myself now, sitting under the wing, sipping a long island iced tea. Beneath The Copper Sun, after a day of flying. African Safari's, bush flying in Kenya... I can't wait!

By the way Nigel, A friend asks me the other day... "Say BB, isn't that your Sea Fury that just flew over the Officers Club"? I tells him: "That can't possibly be my Sea Fury... I left mine back in the hangar at Townsville". :salute:

Bravo -Bravo ; you have an excellent appreciation for all good things in aviation, and I expect in all walks of life.

I'll own up to 'borrowing' the SF - I just can't pass up a ride in a 'homesick angel' even if I tried. Lol.

    To the Avia 57!
Now what you have been graphically describing, is generally refered to as a 'TUSKER' in that wonderous corner of the globe.

And that sounds like an awesome invitation to a real SOH one.

But before the Tusker, comes the work, and there's plenty of that to go around, Gentlemen...

ps: Matt, not too scarce I hope buddy!

    Looks great Milton!

Looks amazing as usual for Milton. I am looking forward to yet another gorgeous Tri-motor to add to my hangar.

One small request for Nigel, if possible can the interior engine sounds be made a little louder ??
With the 56 the interior sounds are a bit too soft for my taste...

    Cheers
    Stefan

    Thanks for the comments.

You can blame the sounds on me. They come through plenty loud here (may be a difference in systems or setup). Avia was very particular about keepin the cabin quiet for normal conversation volumes for passengers so we paid attention to the sounds' amplitudes as a result. In doing so, we may have overly quietened the cockpit for the 56.

    Hi Milton,

I was comparing my friend Joe's Stinson Reliant, which is of the same era and by all accounts the most luxurious 5 seater flying in those days. When that single radial goes to full song for takeoff it is definitely more "noticeable" in the cabin

Is the sound volume adjustable via the sound.cfg or would the individual sound files need to be modified ?

    Cheers
    Stefan

It can be done either way, but I will defer to Nigel on his sounds.

The Avia 57 has been a tremendous effort on your part Milton. You have built a magnificent aircraft!
I know the painters are going to do a fantastic job with the graphics. I can't wait to see it.

It's been pretty quiet around the Avia hangar lately....

On occasion, we have to go into hiding to do the "heavy lifting". There is a lot of work going on behind the scenes and only so much time to get it all done. We will be resurfacing in due time.
