    A standard Model 5 Vega had one wing tank in each wing--only 50 gallons each. Total fuel capacity was 100 gallons. The default aircraft (Post's and Earhart's Vegas) were modified for much farther flights, hence the bigger wing tanks and the fuselage tanks taking the place of passenger seating.

    Here's the fuel section from my modded Vega Ms Leeanna:
    [fuel]
    LeftMain = -6.2, -4.20, 2.7, 50.0, 0.0 //Longitudinal (feet), Lateral (feet), Vertical (feet), Usable(gallons), Unusable (gallons)
    RightMain = -6.2, 4.20, 2.7, 50.0, 0.0 //Longitudinal (feet), Lateral (feet), Vertical (feet), Usable(gallons), Unusable (gallons)
    fuel_type = 1 //Fuel type: 1 = Avgas, 2 = JetA
    number_of_tank_selectors = 1
    electric_pump=0
    manual_transfer_pump=1

    She handles a lot better with a full fuel load. Granted she can't fly as far, but with a BMW 132 under the cowl she is a bit quicker.

    Seeing the profile H, really shows off the sleek aesthetic '30's lines of this fine aircraft.
    Plenty of scope here for creative texturers to 'go to town' and do her justice.

    Another fine prototype Milton.

    Yes, I suppose you can say that the Avia 51 is a cousin to the Lockheed family through the designer, but I think this one will be a sweet hand flyer. So far so good.

    Progress after a week's work attached.

    Thanks much for the fuel settings, they are now in the config file - getting ready to take her up for a consumption and range test later. Many thanks!

    If it looks good it will fly good. This one looks great Mr. Shupe! Thank you for what you do for us all.

    Thanks for the comments. I just finished the exterior modeling so I hope to have it mapped for textures by the weekend (Local Community responsibilities the next 2 days).I am curious if we have anyone here with a knowledge of Czech or Slovak (West Slavic language?) or that can texture these wonderful characters on the sides. Or, anyone interested that can replicate that and willing to do a paint kit.

    Milton, she is really a beauty. Unfortunatelly I am in a deep lurking mode just now, but noticed the project yesterday and I am scrambling to get some materials about Avia 51. Is there something particullar detail I can help with?

    Unfortunatelly, can not do a paint kit for it. But sure will try to help as I can.

    Thank you sir.

    Our biggest need right now is for information about the interior. We have no pictures or drawings of the interior layout or cockpit.

    A paint kit is not essential for this aircraft. The were only 3 units produced and they seemed to have the same paint scheme on bare metal.

    Thanks for your interest.

    What do you need language-wise Milton; my own knowledge of Czech is a very limited (although I can flirt in it reasonably well) but I know people who are fluent & could possibly help?

    she's a real sweetheart Milton, a good looking girl she is... of course it's parents would advise keeping me at bay in all seriousness she has them art-deco lines that i just love, and with them 3 radials she'll sounds great too! great work on this obscure aircraft ...
