    Cabin and Cockpit Lighting

Continuing to strive for improvement but I am pleased with how the cabin lighting is shaping up.

Trying to "personalize" the lighting to each individual seat to minimize "space intrusion" on other passengers.

In the cockpit, the lighting is well-subdued for night flying but not as good as gauge backlighting (which was unavailable in 32-34 AFAIK). I will continue to improve on this.

    Final Tweaks before Beta Test

I am in process of reviewing overall features and completed works.
In testing of the flight models now and I have a question for you.

Do you want the VC Rain feature for the VC or is it too much load for many of you.

I am willing to hear any and all recommendations.

Just good old luminous (And radio active!) paint in those days.

Sure I want it, but I have no performance issues with Fs9 at all.

Well, I can do the gauge backlighting no problem; just wasn't sure it would be appropriate.

    We shall see. :-)

Were the old luminous applied to just certain gauges or all of them?

Avia 156 Changes, Updates and Tweaks Done

The Avia 156 model changes are complete. We are still working with a few panel gauge improvements, a minor interior texture change (Matt?), and some FM tweaks, after which she will be ready for beta testing.

Here is a shot of the VC Rain feature just installed.

I like illuminated gauges, but would that restrict the ability to move a gauge without a light spot left behind?

That rain effect is very nice. Is that in 2-D or the VC?

That's looking the era for sure. I'm liking it!
Gmax has a lot of hurdles. The last one I tried to leap over, I fell flat on my face.

Thanks Matt. I know you are busy; just a reminder as I forgot about it myself until now.

    VC Rain effect.

Yes, the light map is an image of the panel with gauges, the way I do it anyway. Alternatively, an bland light map could be used to be more flexible.

However, I have decided for now that I like the appearance as it is. It's dark enough, yet easily readable for me.

Here is a shot. I am prepared to do gauge back lighting if necessary, but personally, I am liking what I have now.

Hopefully we will complete the 6 panels .... yes six to include two FSX-friendly English and Metric based gauges (thanks to thunder100 for this effort) ... tonight and be ready to prepare an official beta package on Tuesday.

This is going to be a GRAND entrance to flightsim. I really look forward to see the final release get unveiled. And my "Thanks" go out to thunder100 for investing his time to make the panels for FSX. I really appreciate it!!
