    Gorgeous Paul Foster Vulcan B.2s

Thought I'd dig out my old repaints for Paul Foster's Vulcan B.2. Teamed it up with the revised FDEs over at Britsim, added some new sound effects, and boy, did I have some fun over Scotland yesterday. An absolute joy to see and hear...what a classic beauty the old girl is. Going to have to give this some more flying time methinks.

    Beau-tee-ful...

What a nasty object, lurking at the back of the bomb bay!
Superb screens Steve, love the camo paint.
Looks very tempting... is the airshow Vulcan still alive?

Your brushwork really gives alot of new life to this old gal, Steve. I have her saved on a CD in my library.... gonna have to bring her back into service, not only for the enjoyment of flying, but to look at her in the spot view, wearing your colors.

LOL, boy does this ever bring back memories. A childhood friend of mine loves to tell a story of when his father was posted to Goose Bay and he was out riding his bike and saw a giant shadow which he interpreted as an imminent giant bat attack which caused him to crash his bike!! He still bears the scar of that "bat attack" to this day.

What a beautiful bird the Vulcan is!!!

Beautiful! Those were the days at air displays when the ground shook as a Vulcan took off and climbed almost straight up into the clouds. Have you offered them to Classic British Files? I'm sure they would be very welcome there.

I was never blown off my bike by a Vulcan, but a Valiant once sprayed oil on my father's hat. BoB day at West Malling, I think, when Biggin Hill was closed for resurfacing.
Rats - why won't anything work properly first time?

Topped only by an EE Lightning (never BAC) demonstrating 'that' takeoff.

    Morning all,

yep, those paints have been over at Britsim, along with my Valiant and Beaufort paints for several years now. When I got my new PC recently I realised I had somehow lost these paints so last night it was time to visit Britsim and rectify that! The Vulc is just gorgeous, an unmistakable shape as you all have pointed out. I recall an early airshow as a very young child and feeling the roar of those engines just pass right through me...amazing vibrations. You all know that feeling I'm sure from your own jet experiences.

    Paints located here:

    http://www.britsim.com/index.php?opt...62&func=search

Now to resurrect my old Valiant paints...ooh, just saw there is a Valiant upgrade package at Britsim too by Derek Swanson, Lars Fors and Neville Hepburn. Downloading now. V-bomber goodness here we come!

    Cheers all.

    Steve

I certainly do!!! The only thing "terrestrial" that ever came close was the Porsche 917-30 turbo Can-Am racer. I could feel my chest vibrate as it passed by on turn 2 at Mosport Park!!

Ah, the venerable EE Lightning. What most people don't know about this airplane, is that it, like the F-22 Raptor, was capable of "super-cruising". (Crusing at supersonic speed without afterburner.)

And don't forget how upset those U-2 pilots were the first time a Lightning pulled up alongside them. Mind you, there was one British aircraft that even the Lightning coulnd't keep up with ....

I can feel a trip to Britsim coming on, to download more Nazca Steve goodness.

LOL! That'd be the one in your avatar piccy; 'Aeroplane' mag (waaayyy back when I had long hair and wasn't a member of the grumpy old gits club) covered it admirably; both were in level flight; and when both had burners engaged it was bye-bye Lightning.

TSR2 only had 1 burner lit, lightning had both lit and it left the Lightning behind
