hmmm, where to start...
i've decided to rebuild the fuselage, rotating it a smidge
so that there is a peak at the top and bottom.
this should take care of the texture smudging
on the upper and lower sections.
it should only take a few months to accomplish.

NOT!!!!
maybe on the next model, but not this one.
sorry, we'll have to live with the smudging.
all kidding aside,
i am having an issue with the panel.
apparently, one of the Instrument Panel pop up windows
wants to slightly change size and alignment
when the view mode is changed,
ie, from window mode to full screen and back.
it wouldn't be such a big deal,
but the switch panel location changes
and it partially covers one of the gauges.
there is also a related, main panel/overlay alignment problem
on the left side of the panel.
i need this overlay so that the mouseable switches and gauges function.
at present, they work just fine.
it's just a visual alignment issue.
it looks like crap.
sometimes the magic works.
sometimes it doesn't.

i've decided to use the FREE FLIGHT SITE
exclusively for the first month of release.
it's my way of saying Thank You to Dave
for all the help he's given to the project.
............
i think i'll go take a nap

Hello Smilo,
Beautiful aeroplane!
I downloaded it yesterday and installed it today.
- Ivan.
Smilo, you've done a corker of an aeroplane, an absolute corker.
smilo
This is definitely not what you would expect as a "beginner's project", and you did a fantastic job!
And thanks for the kind words in the credits.
If you don't succeed the first time, then base jumping is not for you!

Hello Smilo,
I should also thank you for your credits and comments.
I had not looked at the "ReadMe" files before my last post in this thread.
Between you andHubbabubba, you are setting new standards for "First Projects" that are very hard to match.
Seems like you all are treating this as a "PhD Thesis" for a first publication.
- Ivan.
many thanks gentlemen.
i'm glad you like it.
honestly, this project would never have been completed
without the encouragement and support
of all that have followed this thread.
(yes, even those who have not posted)
just knowing there was interest,
helped keep it going to the end.
womble,
i had to google "corker"...
i wasn't familiar with the term.
that's high praise indeed.
thank you.
hubba,
like i said in the credits,
words can't begin to express
what an influence you have been
to my flight sim experience.
i can never thank you enough.
Ivan,
many thanks for taking the time
to look over the readme.
obviously, my proof reading skills let me down.
fortunately, No_Dice has corrected it,
but not until nearly 40 had been downloaded.
trust me here folks,
i am NOT an ad2k master.
i also forgot to mention the assistance
you and hubba gave rescaling the drawings.
...very important to the project.
as for the "PhD Thesis"...what can i say,
i'm a long winded old fart.
no surprise there.
small wonder, folks don't look at the readme's
and then, there's No_Dice.
what can i say about that guy?
he's been a major part of this thing
from start to finish.
thanks Dave
this project was, basically, and experiment
to see what the resource limit of ad2k is.
i never found it.
that is, in fs2000/cfs2 mode,
which, btw, works fine for cfs1.
i figured, if it works...why not use it?
anyway, i have a few more projects in mind,
but first, i'm working on the 196, version 1.5, upgrade.
it's all top secret, of course.
just got a minor interruption...
the drain line from the washing machine disconnected.
the basement is flooded
it's always somethin'
sometimes the magic works.
sometimes it doesn't.

Thank you for the great plane smilo; and thanks for leaving out the 4 letter words that I am more than sure you would have liked to say to me during this project.
Most of all, Thank you for allowing me to contribute....even as little as it was...... to your very outstanding project.
Now we just need some missions !!
Dave![]()
You will find that everyone that contributes here will spend stupid amounts of time to sort out other members problems, thats what makes this forum great! Its a shame that we don't live near each other so that we could get out for a pint (english speak for a night out with the boys). Still what we can do is guide, positively comment, my personal bugbear is someone pointing out the blatently obvious or provide that snippet of info that eludes us in a project. This we will do unreservedly.
Christmas is coming and the goose is getting fat so Merry Christmas to you all and have one on me.
