    Hey, Ivan!!!
i just wanted to take a minute to say
thanks again for the "concave polygon" advice.
not only did it resolve the elevator trim tab issue,
but it also fixed a problem i was having
with the aft cone and the elevator karmans.
    (or would it be, karmen?)

i don't know how many hours i spent
trying to figure that one out.

    quick update

after many hours trying to properly sequence
all of the tail section parts.
everything is in place very nicely.
with the exception of the rudder.

    what a pain!!!
i could try to explain the issue,
    but, as i see it,
    that's a waste of time.

    back to it....
    i will not be thwarted!

I am not sure if AD2000 works the same way as AF99 as far as sequencing, but if I had to build what you have so far, here is what I would do for sequencing. Perhaps you can find an equivalent?

    1. Fin
    2. Rudder
    3. Left Stabiliser / Right Stabiliser - Which one first obviously does not matter.
    4. Tail Cone
    5. Left Elevator / Right Elevator - Again, which one first obviously does not matter.

    Hope this helps.

    - Ivan.

Icon28 at the risk of over optomism...

    I THINK I'VE GOT IT!!!

last night around 8:00, i was very close,
but had one area that was causing problems.
i gave up, watched a little tv and went to bed.
    about 01:30, i was awakened
by a huge and prolonged clap of thunder.
(this is very rare this time of year)
of course, i couldn't go back to sleep,
so i've been working for the past 2 1/2 hours.

at this point, i have no screenies
and don't really know how to explain the process.
the trick will be to remember what i've done
and how i've done it and continue on.

i still have some clean up to do,
but that can wait until tomorrow.
    for now, it's back to...

i've been working on this section
off and on since around 02:00.
there's still some clean up to do,
    but, i've got to admit,
i'm a little pleased with the results.

the panel is aliased to FSFSConv\panel.Recip.rg.1
    and sound to c182\sound
if that doesn't work for you,
    change to alias=Fw190a\panel
    and alias=Fw190a\sound
    or whatever you want.
    it doesn't matter.

the air file is a rough modification
of a fw190 air file. nothing special.
just something to get it into the sim.

I had a chance to look at the Cockpit this morning. Impressive! I don't know that you will be able to see most of it in the game though, but for a 3D model, it looks very good.

thanks. i kinda like it, myself.
don't know about seeing everything in the game.
that's okay, maybe the flaws won't be visible either.

did you guys check out the vc view?
it's still very basic, but has a lot of potential.

    still puttering on the karman.
got a few kinks to work out.
i came up with a few ideas
when i was in the shower.
    hope i can remember them.

we're heading out to the annual
    christmas tree burn party.
it was suppose to be in january,
but we had a major snow storm
    and it was postponed

been dinking around with the karman
for most of the day, trying to get the joint
with the fuselage to show properly.

    things started coming together.

my wife just informed me that the neighbors
will be here at 3:00 to watch the game.

    WHAT GAME?
i don't give a rip about the stinkin' super bowl.
i don't want to be social, again.
i did that last night, thank you very much.

i want to work on the 196!
i'm on a flippin' roll here.

I'm not a football fan, so when Anna Honey and the Kids decided to go Skiing this morning, I figured I would have a day to get a few things done.

I could have spent it working on my Hawk 81 project, but figured I could finish that up after hours even when they are home.

My original 17 inch Sony monitor went out a few months ago and I replaced it with another 17 inch Nokia which just wasn't as sharp. Today I figured I would pull a monitor from another machine that doesn't get as much use (Dell 17 inch).

My clock on this computer hasn't been keeping time for a month or two. Since I was gonna pull the monitor anyway, it would be a good time to open up the system unit because this is a desktop case and I also would have the space to work. Pulled the case, replace the battery (We'll see if it worked in a few minutes) and also found out that the monster vibration at times isn't from my power supply fan like I was guessing but instead is from the little bitty fan on top of the CPU. I also found out that my slot fan next to the graphics card was burned out.

After I purchased the computer parts and was having lunch, I got a call from Anna Honey that the furnace at her Parents' place was not working.... That changed my evening from a calm one to a rather hurried one with putting a computer back together (stripped a screw) and having to poke around in the garage for a space heater.

After spending about an hour and a half moving boxes and climbing up into the crawl space above the garage and then cleaning off the heater, I found out that the inlaws thought it was warm enough not to need additional space heaters this evening....

At 11:48, I still don't know who won the Super Bowl. (I presume the game is over.) Then again, I don't remember who played either.

    Sorry for the hijack, Smilo.
    - Ivan.

    hello Ivan,
as i see it, your comments were not a hijack.
they were simply a response to prior comments.
which, btw, were, sorta kinda, off topic.

my apologies for not replying sooner.
i certainly hope you didn't think i was pissed.

i have been spread a little thin this week.
...no need to make a list.

    as i said somewhere above,
every time i think i'm getting the hang of it,
i get a little boot in the hindy,
just to wake me up and let me know who's boss.

last weekend, i really thought i had a handle
on the karman to fuselage "joint".
actually, i do, but, (and it's a big BUT)
when i did the layout, i didn't have the interior visible.
    yes, you've guessed it!
the karman shows through the interior.
i've been dinking around all day
trying to come up with a solution,
    with no success.

i have no doubt that i will figure it out,
but, i had other plans for this weekend.
    it's always somethin"

today, i had a major problem.
    ...so what's new.

i can't figure out what exactly i did.
somehow, a file i was working on got corrupted.
i got the usual error message in french
and it wouldn't go away. ad2k froze.
i had to shut ad2k down with the task manager.
i restarted, opened the file, compiled,
and went into cfs to check it out.
cfs froze when i selected the model.
i went back to ad2k and deleted,
    and compiled, and checked cfs,
one line at a time, trying to find the problem.
    no luck...
i'd really like to know what i did.
finally, i went into ad2k and removed the corrupt file.

    fortunately, i've been making backups
and saving them on a flashdrive.
    LUUUCKY!!!
i had one i made just an hour before.
i copied it into ad2k and redid my work
up to just before the error message.
alls well or i would have lost a weekends work.

    fortunately, i had the backups.
    i think i'm finally learning.

the screenie doesn't show the hours
i've spent on the prop animation.
it's still not right, but i know there's a way.
i've seen it on other ad2k models.
wish i had a source file
so i could see how he did it.

i think i'll call it a day and a weekend.
