Personally, i'm gonna wait till its available on simmarket, then get the upgrade. It's only ten bucks and i know steve will appreciate it, but flightsimstore lost a customer after my fiasco attempting to purchase it.. Banned in the US indeed..

I had that happen a couple of times when using a modified .bat file to launch shade_nl.exe, wait five seconds, then launch external FPS limiter. Now that you can just "burn in" the shade preferences and not launch shade_nl at all, it's not an issue. Were you perhaps trying to do something of that sort?

I was hoping that some kind of contact would have been made in reference to my troubles when attempting to log in to my account at flightsimstore by the time I got home today. No such luck. I have made several attempts explaining my troubles I am having when trying to purchase "Shade". Needless to say, my issue is still not resolved, and a customer is unhappy here obviously. I would think that there would be better customer relations to get the problem solved, rather than not reply at all. The re-pore is piss poor

And, I have. The differences are night and day if you don't have this. The amount of shadow, color and contrast is without a doubt, very different. This is amazing what the program does to all the aspects of light seen within the simulator. A very worthy purchase for such an enhancement! And the cost is, cheap!!

I want to express my appreciation as well. This gadget gave me a whole new simulator :-) Thanks to Gizmo and his 'band of testers' !! :-)
I have noticed that on certain presets the diffuse map alpha channel gets more pronounced. Examples are for instance in the VCs of the Skysim Mirage package and the ALS sim SU-27. In these cockpits the dev has made liberal use of the alpha channel, not only on glass faces but panels, consoles and the like and it gets rather 'reflectious'. Nothing that cannot be dealt with though :-)

Have the same problem as Gdavis101, I have no addon that could launch FSX, have AI carriers, FS Recoder, and Bjote`s shader 3.0 on, and at any time of day it looks like midinght with landing lights unable to light anything......Tried to lanuch shade_NL and launch FSX manually, but it won`t work...

Just a headsup that 1.02 is live at flightsimstore

Just log into your account a redownload the wrapper and you'll find Shade 1.02 inside,im sorry that you'll have to download the full (a massive 3,8mb ) package again but its the only way i can keep this update safe from grubby hands for a little while

1.02 change log

Added the ability to load just light\shadow\fog values from a preset to allow for mixing and matching across different presets

Added a much better "Custom" Colour picker to the palette roll outs,this new picker allows you to grab pixel colours anywhere on your current desktop(click hold over the eye dropper icon and release to pick a value)using this will allow you to quickly pick/tweak values when building your own presets you can also use it to grab colours\tones from images of sun rises/sunsets,im sure once you have a play with it you'll see how much better it is than the default windows colour picker in 1.0/1.01

Added a few more presets (look in the new in 1.02 presets folder) for ppl to try/tweak....

Over the top if you like BUT if you altered any of the default presets back them up first as 1.02 will overwrite them (unless you resaved them under a diffrent name)

Thanks for the update Steve. I managed to get v1.01 installed and test it out a bit, then my FSX drive went belly up and I lost everything. I was so mad. I said a few choice words!! I'll download this and set it aside for when I get this mess sorted. FSX is refusing to reinstall. And right now, I'm stumped by it all!!
