I think I have all the basics in place now on the exterior model.
Time to get started on mapping for textures.

i don't know why but i just had one of those 'What if' thoughts... was flying the S2T and though "man put floats on this, fit a few seats and talk about an extreme bush plane!"
either thats a good idea or i've been raiding the drinks cabinet once too often, and finding only pepsi....
she really is looking great Milton! bad news guys... i've looked at the S2T Mil variant now... and theres a stick being waved in my direction as if to say "get it into that paint hangar and get working!"
No meaning to hi-jack this thread too much...but there's a military variant of the S2T? I found the firebomber (Firecat) version of the S2T, but haven't seen a military version of it.

Here are 3 more shots.
Matt is working on that version now.
Yes Sir!
This is the bit that removes "the what if?" element.

Thanks for the HAF version Matt!
Edit; This is all perfectly true! A monk in the breathtaking, monastic area of Mt. Athos, everyday, rain or snow goes out on to the mountainside and blesses the Hellenic Air Force pilots and aircraft. A kind of unofficial 'patron saint'.
The pilots know this and regularly fly at a hairsbreathe distance from their spiritual guardian.
Where else on earth would one see such an awe inspiring gesture? It brings me close to tears.

The newest paint design for the Cal Fire fleet.

O,
The version Milton did was the version by IAI/Marsh and was used only by the Argentine Navy. The ROC Navy version was made by Grumman and used the same engine but used a Dowty Rotol advanced 4 bladed prop. These were the only users of military equipped Turbo Trackers AFAIK!

...and here she is in the flesh...or perhaps 'aluminium'.
A beautiful aircraft in a strikingly appealing paint scheme!

Invested most of today making adjustments and redos to the C-1A. Mgr is doing an awesome job on the exterior textures. I'll wait for him to show off his work.
And, gaucho_59 has wrapped up the C-1A cabin textures. I will post a sneak peek here.
And, tonight I am wrapping up the exterior model of the S2A-CDF tanker variant with a nacelle change. Once those are mapped for textures Sunday morning, I will move to the interior model.
Oke then , some WIP shots, wings are next Big thanks to Milton to put up with all my requests and finds time and effort to do them all.
Enjoy!
Marcel
PS
Talking about wings, does anyone have any good top-shots of the aircraft in the wing/nacelle area? For the "walk area/lines" etc. Thx!
Just while I'm taking a quick breather, feeding my favourite rooster 'Cockos' and contemplating the grass my cows have to cut, hah, hah, thought I'd tell you all what happened to me at Duxford this morning...

To cut a long story short (icon:Milton impatiently makes a half turn in his swivel chair, looks unamusedly over the rimtops of his glasses and releases a long sigh as though to say; "that'll be the day, well...go on...what is it this time?":icon)
I decided to make a long flight LGTS Thessaloniki - EGSU Duxford for a couple of reasons.
First: I wanted to see how long I could stand the Garrets; thankfully, it turned out to be one of the quietest flights I've had for months (sit on it Matt! Yes, of course the engines were running you nugget, you were on the throttles).
Second: Its been years since I've seen Uncle Chris Chippington, so why not catch him at Duxford and show off the S-2TCDF.
Well Gents, on arriving at Duxford, I was non-plussed by the folk who seem to be gathering there for 'The Party'.
After giving a brief show (had to wait some 30 minutes in the circuit while some cocky little devil was showing off the lines of his newly painted F-16 demo version) I parked near the IWM buildings...

I was cordially greeted by one of the restoration experts who immediately asked me;
"Pardon me old boy, but isn't that a Shupe Ship?"
By then I was proudly beaming from ear to ear, replying;
"That she most definately is Sir, pure 'Shupe Ship' from nose to tail"
I'm sure Tom Clayton wont mind me borrowing the phrase;
Proud to serve, Milton!

Absolutely stupendous... !
Could you send me the exterior textures?
I think I can get pics of the walk areas, etc. Not photos though... but manual drawings like the one
I used to do the interior textures...
In case you don't have my e-mail: gaucho_59@hotmail.com
Thanks and kudos again!
GREAT JOB MGR!!!!! Looks amazing! Heres one pic of an S-2A and a S-2E I found for refs on the wing walk stripe.

Amazing work on the new nacelles Milton! Just like I remember them!!
Strangely enough, the only good top picture of the C-1A I have shows no walk strips.
I will check the manual for any illustrations but I suspect Mgr has this already covered.
EDIT: Checked manual; nothing there. But found another picture.
EDIT2: Those antenna wires look mighty FAT in the above pictures, more so than on my system. I will take a look at that and skinny them up a bit.
