Duckie: Has your VAW-1 E-1B (WF-1) texture been released yet? Just making sure that I haven't missed it. Regards, Bill

    Excellent paints, Duckie

Found it! Buried under a LOT of CFS2 stuff!
Hey modelr, thanks for digging it up. Seems there maybe something going on with the What's New section of the library. Trying ot get someone's attention now regarding that.

Hi Bill, thanks for asking. I haven't uploaded it yet. Was trying to wait to see if the problem with the What's New section of the library settled down first. I'll go ahead and upload here in just a bit but you may have to dig for it, or you should be able to go directly to the "authors" section for FS2004/Skins once it is approved and find it under "duckie", I believe that is still working properly.

    No issues I know of.

The CFS2 forum and our library manager are moving all their old files from the old archive to the new library. The old archive for them goes away in June or July.

So, as a result, you are seeing alot of CFS2 stuff pop up. Rami is trying to move them out so all the really new adds will show up there.

    Here are his comments (excerpts):

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"I wanted to give you an FYI as to what is going on with the library. In the CFS2 forum, we're shifting all of the files from the archive to the new library, so that we won't have to use the archive anymore. In the process, we're dumping a lot of old stuff and consolidating packages to make our lives easier.

The problem with the front page is that it only shows about fifteen of the newest downloads, and when I approve the transferred files, they get moved to the front of the line. To make sure that people who upload current packages are getting their due, I go through and reset the top fifteen at least once a day, and rotate the files slightly so that people get the file exposure they deserve."
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Hope this helps understanding.

    Milton,

Thanks very much for the response. I understand the "volume" situation and the move I read about up top but there are a couple of other "anomalies" that someone may want to look at.

Thank you, Milton. Jan has been a fixture in the FS world for quite awhile and will be missed. Perhaps like many others, he'll be back after some time away from FS. If / When you decide to do this, I will be available to help as best I can.

Well I agree with your comment Dave. He has set the standard for me in aircraft since 2002 and has been a friend and an inspiration to me.

Dave, I appreciate your contributions immensely.

    Duckie,

The E-1B is the aircraft that inspired this project for me. You just continue to make it all worthwhile. Thank you so much.

    Milton,

I count it a distinct honor and a most definite pleasure to be numbered among the contributors to this fine project. My limited vocabulary has long been spent of superlatives (I've even read a few I had to look up!) used to describe what marvelous models your Grumman 7 have proved to be.

So, I raise my glass to you for continuing to breath new life into an aging iteration of our hobby, may there be more where these came from for us all to enjoy well into the future!

    You are welcome, Sir,

    Steve

    S2F-1 Project

I have communicated with Jan Visser and can now confirm that I will be doing the S2F-1 project. I am wrapping up the Avia 57 modeling this week and helping tankerguy72 with his project a bit. But, hopefully next week, I can get on the S2F-1 and get the modeling done within 2-3 weeks, and be ready for textures before the end of May. There are three projects in progress that may affect that a bit but hopefully not by much.

So, let the S2F-1 discussion begin

I would like to see the very best reference pictures of good size that you feel best represents what the S2F-1 is to you.

    Bring'em on!

Sorry I haven't offered much encouragement to everyone lately. Family health problems continue, so I just have time to pop in and look around here. Haven't even had a chance to download and fly the Avia 56 yet. Please keep up the amazing work, Milton and crew(s). Thanks.
