Another beauty, Duckie! Some day I'll get the Grumman Seven (and the latest AVIAs) installed, together with all these repaints. For now I'm just hoarding.

    Thanks everyone.

Sister squadron VS-24 ship should be up by Wednesday evening. Then, it's back the E-1's for a couple more.

My goodness! YOu have quite the production line going here Duckie. Don't get burned out ... might need some of that paint for "what's comin'". LOL

Are you suggesting "that's enough?" Right now I enjoying painting these Grummans AND flying them. Don't know whici I like more. These S2/E-1s are a real joy to fly especially in carquals!

Anyway, plenty of paint on the shelf for the right subject(s), especially if the colors happen to be Sea Blue (Non-Specular) /Intermediate Blue and Dirty White! ?

LOL Not suggesting that at all. Having fun is what it's all about.

Hey Milton, Duckie, et al - I included Al, as you can see - everyone associated with this project has done magnificent work on every aspect of it they've touched, no exaggeration. On a larger, metaphysical scale this is proving people can still perform in a truly outstanding manner for the love of something other than money!

I have a question for our planners and project managers. If you explained this in the past, and I am "re-asking" about it, I apologize for my slackness. Somewhere in the dim recesses of my memory I recall seeing photos of S2Fs with a small "football" radome on a pylon above and behind the cockpit. For some reason the USN aircraft with this accessory were, in my memory, in dark blue overall meaning they were early S2Fs.. I know foreign S2Fs had them also. Are these being considered, or is this radome/pylon a possible later attachment?

The S2F-1 to which you refer is being done by Jan Visser. If all goes as planned, it may well be the best of the brood.

    E-1B's for Enterprise

Duckie, Any chance that you might consider one of Enterprises E-1B's squadron for a texture? VAW-12 Det 65 flew from her for a number of cruises from August 3, 1962 thru Feb 8th 1964. VAW-11 Det M embarked for the final E-1B cruise in Oct 26, 1965. Bill
