Florida Airports - Plant City (KPCM)

Another new one from Art Poole. Cris Wilson (Tee Cee) took the pictures for the buildings.

Category: Flight Simulator X - Scenery
New! Plant City, FL Municipal Airport (KPCM)
    Images related to this file:

    File Description:
This is a simply and nicely laid-out small uncontrolled airport which has been rendered differently from my previously distributed scenery. All of the buildings; even the gas pumps, rocking chairs and trash cans; have been created using photos extensively provided by Chris Wilson of the actual airport. LOD techniques were used to reduce the impact on framerates. Landclass changes, roads, rework of runways, taxiways and aprons, and library object placement are included. Scenery in this package is also based on current Google Earth imagery. Very little AI traffic was observed while working on this airport, so a file is included adding GA AI traffic if desired.

Hi Joe. I found them at: http://www.com-central.net/index.php

You must join the site first before downloading. There are 2 downloads. One with ALL the Commanders, and another for the SP2 Accel. Update. They work perfectly in FSX with the fixes these guys did to them. Enjoy!!

I would like to point out that at KPCM we usually sit in the rocking chairs, drink beer, smoke cigars....oh, and comment on everyone's landings.

I need Opa Locka...where is it hidden?
Basic Flying Rules: "Try to stay in the middle of the air. Do not go near the edges of it. The edges of the air can be recognized by the appearance of ground, buildings, sea, trees and interstellar space. It is much more difficult to fly there."

He did Opa Locka already. At AVSIM: opa_locka_fl.zip

It changed a bit since I flew there 30+years ago!

While where at it, do you know where a good KPIE is for FSX?

When I was flying into OPF, the CG was still flying Albatrosses there! That was about the time you were born, CG_1976!

I think Art did that too. Do a search at avsim for it.

I downloaded the Plant City airport and discovered that there are a few shrubs located in the pavement of the taxiways. They don't completely block them but if you have collisions turned on they will cause a crash if run into.

Contact Art. This has been so long ago I don't even remember it. I'm sorry I can't help on this.
