    NYC meet GBZ

Flew over New York City last night in the Gee Bee on my way towards New England in the Gee Bee

    Yep, I think we're here

Wonder if Juan Trippe is home?

And it looks like the fleet is in as well

I was going to land at what used to be Floyd Bennett Field, but gave it up after a few tries and flew on to Bridgeport Connecticut. (landing into the wind put me facing JFK and the FPS was trying to bottom out)

I've got a list of the freeware Orbx airports and I'm just using them for the most part.

It's the Aerosoft version Ian. I wish the rock itself was rendered a bit better but appreciate that FSX doesn't like rendering cliffs very well. Areas around the airport are well populated but the dockyard is lacking. Makes a nice place to fly to from Blighty though and if the aircraft I fly are fast enough.. it won't end in tears (FSX gooey blurs prior to it's ultimate demise)

EDIT: Looks great in your shots ijay

Thanks Dave, yeah if you stay the airport side of the rock it doesn't look too bad, the seaward side is ok, but as you say FSX doesn't render it too well.

Ive never consider'd payware scenery before, but that Aerosoft Gib looks something special, whats the coverage of the scenery, is it just Gib or doe's it stretch into Spain or North Africa, not that it matter's, there's plenty of freeware mesh out there, im just curious.

    cheers ian

It's one of the Virtavia F-4 Pack 3 models.
    She's also the right colour.

Never leave your aircraft where someone with some paint and stencils can get at it.

I'd say they went easy on it. And did a quite respectable job of it as well...

Unlike this poor soul who landed on the wrong carrier....

Not all 'zaps' were done by others. Some were in-house.
This one was done for "Red Thistle Flight", with "Goodbye Mr. C" on the port side.
