Tomorrow (July 28) marks the centenary of the start of WWI.

Here are a selection of screenshots of a Bristol Fighter patrol around Old Warden. This aircaft, coming into being only 6-years after the Bristol Boxkite, could get up to 20,000 ft and reach 120 kts at full power.

Dutch NF-5A heading to the "vliehors" shooting range for some practise bomb-runs.
Comming from behind a cloud above the north of Holland.

    Crossing the "waddenzee"

Passing the "afsluitdijk" this 32 KM dike seperates the "waddenzee" and the "ijselmeer".

The only F-5A I can recall being released was by Tim "Piglet" Conrad.
