It seems that with every new model that comes to CFS3 the bar is raised.

Just stunning work Ted & John.

I found a very basic model on line (no animation, landing gear, control surfaces, guns, and pits) and redid it to make it work. The little bit of time it saved me is not worth it. A few things about this bird:

It is a frame rate killer, detail = frame rates
It will have ai's that are VERY basic so you can get 3-5 in the air for missions and such. Using the main model you can get it plus 2-3 ai's and one or two fighters maybe. Shouldn't matter too much as the plane flew at night a lot or were used in small flights. When used to patrol the sea they were singles so it should be ok. If you turn down the aircraft detail to 3 or 4 the plane will still look ok. It is about the same as the b24's as far as framerate hits. There will be a few special facility surprises with her too, which if you want them will require replacing the global layer and qc files plus adding a few new facility, objects, vehicles, and stuff; after all she was used at night.....

There will be 3-4 made 2 A3's and maybe twoA5's. Some for Operation Steinbock and KG40 to patrol the water.

When: Maybe before August 1, if I can find the time.

...the combination of Ted's amazing modeling and John's Fabulous painting makes for aircraft that go beyond photo-real to a kind of sim/game specific that just makes me want to climb on board and get BUSY....

...BTW, how did the landing gear animation turn out?

Is the way you land will affect the sequence of the oleao moves ?
or will it be the same anyway under the both wings ?

    Very gorgeous plane

    I must have been asleep!

Great work Ted! Good things do come to those that wait!

Very lovely bird indeed! One quick question though: Knowing that this bird is a frame rate killer, If you remove some of the other frame rate killers like the B-24 and Ju-290 will it matter or be of any help at all for this one?
