That was an interesting change after all these flights with CAVOK conditions.
Next time let's do an event in the rainy season.

    Wohoo !!!!!!!!!!!

    Down on the Saratoga.

They say a landing on a carrier is a controlled crash.

I've fully mastered the "crash" part, but still have to work on the "controlled" part.

    But I'm down, and alive!
Happy, as this is my first real carrier landing, after a few training runs.

There was some stuff flying around when I touched down, and the plane came to rest in a weird position. But they must have some mechanics on a carrier, who can have a look, no? Guess 900 fpm is too much.

Off to find some brew. (Need it, nerves are a little shaky...)

Looks like you bent your tail wheel just a little bit there. I'm sure the crew on the Sara can fix that right up for you.

I think you and I were the only ones to take advantage of the carrier landings. They're a hoot when you get the hang of them.

Great Job .... we'll be doing that again later ... maybe this year or early next.

Yeah, Willy, these are fun, and a good challenge.

At least to execute properly without getting strange looks from the engineers.
And who's that guy yelling "wave off" during approach. Rude or what?

Gonna do some circuits, and will hopefully have dialed in for later.

Austin, is "maybe next year" february 2012?
Whatever it'll be , looking forward to it.

Exploring new parts of the world with each one.

Three Hooray to PRB for idea and organising!

Looking forward to what you guys at SOH come up with next...

    Thanks!

Congrats! There should be some leftover coffee, donuts, lumpia and San Miguel around here somewheres.

Yeah that guy screaming and waving his arms is such a drama queen. Hard to tell when he's serious....

    Woot!
You mean for once I've arrived and there's something left?
Even if it's only cold coffee.

    That needs celebrating!

Cold coffee for all is on me!
