    Malware in GSLMan.exe?

    Hello guys,

I had a few virus, spyware and malware problems on my computer. My antivirus finds GSLMan.exe is suspected to harbour a malware called gemini. Whatever the source I get GSLMan.exe from, it always finds this gemini malware. Now, maybe the antivirus finds a bit of code in GSLMan.exe which is perfectly normal, but sees it as a malware. There is also the possibility of a real infection. Does any of you has the same problem?

Same thing with DXTBMP. Could it be a Martin Wright software's thing?

I vaguely recall having the same problem at one point. Can't remember how I got it to stop. I think by adding Martins stuff to the ignore list. Which anti-spyware program is it?

I have noticed that recently my anti-virus software has detected malware in all of my CFS2
ICD files. It began throwing up warnings about 3 weeks ago. This co-incided with a new update for AVG. I have ignored it assuming the fault lies with AVG since I doubt if the same problem would exist in all of my installs.

I checked GSLMan with my anti-virus software (Kasperski Internet Security), and it didn´t find anything wrong.

This is a common problem where the anti virus programs cannot distinguish a self installer from malware. Provided you have obtained your files from a reputable source the warnings can be safely ignored. If necessary turn off your anti malware whilst installing.

Go to filehippo and download malwarebytes and run it. The free version is a good program/utility.
