A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FSX Skins
Description: This is a repaint for Milton Shupe's (and team_see read me) gorgeous Beechcraft AT-11 Kansan plane for FS9 and FSX. The repaint is in DXT3 (No MIP) and works very well in my FSX rig and should also do well for FS9.
The idea behind this "What if..." is a result of the following idea...
- This is a WWII time era plane which actually served to train pilots during the war;
- "What if..." a few of these planes had been sent along with other orders of Curtiss H-75 to France at the outset of WWII ?
-These planes would have been seized by the Germans and put to use with either the Luftwaffe or, as in this case, sold off to the Axis co-belligerents countries such as Finland who fought against the Soviets, or Romania for that matter...
So, this is the basis for this repaint which represents one such aircraft sold to Romania after being fitted with their Bf 109Es in numbers. That would place us around the end of July '41. It was named '42 to keep in line with my earlier postingsThe markings are based on a 109E (number #13 from Wings Palette) which shows wartime King Michael's cross and Yellow bands located differently. This is for a TURRET top but will also do well with the BUBBLE or the CAP version (see the Read me first).
