    Question Hey, kids...

Has anyone noticed.... When I try to get airborne in the Fokker XXI she
invariably buries her tail wheel! Most frustrating!

I'm thinking of messing with the COG....

    Anybody else have any ideas?

    GoG

The Cog is 25% fully loaded which is pretty standard. The tailwheel issue may be a pitch/height error. Or a compression number that is not correct for the gear.

    Thanx, Ted

Yeah well it's quite weird... Going -proceeding down the runway, stick shoved dangerously forward,
...and then just when I think I'll be able to hold up the tail -right around 85 to 90 knots -and all
ready to ease back on the stick -and fwumph! -she'll bury her butt down
past "tail wheel damage has occurred"....the point of no, ...etc.

Its a real "just when you thought you had it all figured out" moment!^^^^^^^^^^^^

    Hmmm

The main gear could be moved back a bit (contact point) say 1 foot which will pick the tail up earlier.

    Most odd.

If this is the ETO one, mine just flies off the runway without any drama. If you're having to hold the joystick fully forward, perhaps re-calibrate joystick?

Mine too. No issues. Re-Calibrating joystick is a good suggestion. I do eveytime pre simming. BTW Nice plane

    On e last thought

do you fly on "hard" as the option in the in game config? I made the flightmodel and when it was tested she was fine. You shouldn't have to push the stick forward as the tail comes up by itself and a gentle pull back will have you in the air.

You can try the above options if the problem persists in your game especially moving the main gear contact to a smaller number as this would raise the tail wheel much sooner, but be careful a 1 foot change is huge.
