    Finally Time to relax

Today I finally get some time to relax.

It is now a tradition I bring my family out here for the Holidays and they love it. No cold weather for them to contend with and they get to relax a bit. Only problem they like to go sight seeing and I don't really have the time until after Christmas.

Christmas Eve I cook most of the day for my family plus I bring food and pies to the senior citizens home on Christmas. Having 3 children in the house you can imagine trying to get them to bed.

Christmas Day after a few hours of sleep the children get up early,I have know idea why. We make and have breaklfast before any gift opening. After opening the gifts we get ready to go to the see the senior citizens. We have turkey, ham, cookies and pies. Next I do a show for them and they sing along. For those that their family didn't show they really appreciate it and don't feel so alone. To me it makes me feel good inside to bring some happiness to them. That I feel is what Christmas is all about,Giving to others.

Now after about 4 to 5 hours we get home and have our dinner. Next it's time to get ready for company and our little party with our friends.. It starts after 8pm and lasts until about 1am. All went well and a good time was had by all.

Even though it was a hectic day I enjoyed it all. Now I get a few days to take it easy before New Years Eve.

I hope all here have a Safe and Happy Holiday

Hiede that sounds like some wonderful Xmas traditions you celebrate, and those are lucky kids to experience them.

We have a bit of a post Xmas celebration here at the Giga ranch, affactonatly called "Mashed Potatos & Gravy" this year was V 6. My daughter and wife started it 6 years ago by inviting some of Sarah's less fortunate friends around for a real Xmas meal, that first year none of the guests had ever had a traditional Xmas meal before. It was quite a hit and is now a Must Do for many, we had 31 this year and we are still washing dishes...lol. A great time was had by all and although most of the guests would scare the crap out of you (tattoo's everwhere) if you met them in a dark alley, they are all very good folks and we have a wonderful time.

I think Xmas is what you make it, and we all enjoy our own little traditions, I better get back to the sink the wife will be home soon and some dam fool bought her a new frying pan which will be applied up side my head if the kitchen stays in it's current condition much longer.

Happy New Year to you and yours.

BTW I love the pic of the little one, that looks like a Highland Battle Tartan, is there some Scottish heritage in your family tree?

Moe, we get much more than we put into the effort, the gratitude is plain to see on everyone's face, and it is just a totally wonderful day.
