Cfs2 to Fs2004 jet conversion problem

    Hi All,

This problem has been bugging me for a while now but i figured here would be the best place to ask so here goes, I've recently tried adapting several aircraft designed for cfs2 in to fs2004 and most seem to translate over no problem at all however, on trying to port over several cfs2/early fs2002 jets I have discovered that everything works except the engine will not produce any thrust whatsoever it starts and shuts down ok but no throttle response I've tried changing panels even borrowing .air files from other aircraft to see if it makes any difference but to no avail has anyone on here by chance come across this problem before or knows a solution.

    any help appreciated as always

Regards and a Merry Christmas to All

Have you tried a swap of the Air file and Aircraft.cfg file from a jet you know works in FS2004 into the non-working CFS2 plane. CFS2 aircraft relies heavily on the air file for flight dynamics, while FS2004 relies heavily on the aircraft.cfg file. If the aircraft.cfg file you are using is the original CFS2 one, then it may well be missing the sections that FS2004 needs to get the engines to develop thrust.

What are a couple of the CFS2/FS2002 jets that you are having problems with? Where can I download them from? I will take a look see at them and see what I can do...no guarantee as my FDE skills are less than stellar.

My sim system is down for a few days due to a faulty monitor cable...everything is either blue, red or green depending on how I flex the cable. Once I get the new on from Newegg, I will grab those planes and see what I can come up with.

    Thumbs up

    Hi Hooky,
It was the airfile, and the .cfg needed the C of G moving a bit. Flys fairly well, needs practice!

Use the same files renamed for the Aquilon.

    In zipped file attached.

    Cheers
