New updated freeware CitationX by Alrot, with winglets too !

    Hi all,

Alejandro is acutally finalizing his update for his famous freeware Cessna Citation X. There are still some little problems but he's working on that. I have been allowed to post some screenshots to present this new version and its main features:
    - native FSX SP2 format, with bumpmapped textures and self-shadowing
    - reworked aircraft belly, now very close to the shape of the real aircraft !
    - detailled and clickable virtual cockpit
    - working APU
    - working FMC (freeware from external developper)
    - two stage cockpit lighting (like on the MD-83, instruments only or full cabin)
    - two variants, classic and winglets
    - several repaints

Here are some screenshots showing the classic version without winglets.

And here is the new version with winglets

The plane should be available soon, we'll keep you informed.
By the way, repainters are very welcome to contact Alrot if they want to produce repaints for this bird.
Also, the plane will be FREEWARE as usual, but donations are welcome as well

Looking good! I always did like the overall shape of the CitationX....definitely hangar-worthy! Appreciate the update...

I got to drool over some diagrams of this bird when a past employer was considering replacing their Hawker. Looking forward to the release.

Any chance the wing lights will get reversed to the correct sides?

Gentlemen, the final version of the Citation X is now available for download.
    You can download it here:
    http://www.simviation.com/fsnd/FSND_...ra_Package.zip

    From the FSND website: http://www.simviation.com/fsnd/menu.html

I wanted to edit the topic title or the original post to provide the link, but it's not possible anymore.
Also, could this topic get sticky please ?

Wow. Between all my new $5 Iris purchases and now this fantastic freeware gem from Alrot, I have a lot of flying to do this Christmas. Thanks!

I wouldn't call it "Update" Stephane , I did have to fix the gauges and almost completely change the whole VC , the exterior well you can see ,its practicably other ,the wings ,is like remaking the whole airplane ,at the beginig was supposed to be and update but even the flight dynamics where change from scratch ..

You people have to see for yourself

    thanks

How do I fix the multiple title error for paint1 and paint 2? When I start up flightsim it gives that error. I have stared at the 2 entries and cannot see any problem. The paints work fine and it is a lovely aircraft.

Just and update. Still have not figured out what is wrong with paint 1 and 2 on the non wingletted model. Those paints show up fine on the wingletted model. Any help would be appreciated
Just managed to fix it myself, if any one else has this problem just put a space between paint and the number in the title section of the cfg ie paint1 should be paint 1 and so on. Still a wonderfull aircraft

This is strange, because I wasn't getting any problem with any of the beta versions, even the latest one.
I'm downloading the final version to test if I get the same error as you get.

  22. #22
I have downloaded the final version and installed it.
I didn't get any naming problem at all.
However, I realized that the name of the airplane folder is different from the previous CitationX version. If you had that one, you might have to delete it

Thanks for the advice. I got it working by the method in my edited post above. If I come across any other problems I will probably re-download it (bit reluctant to do that as I do not have a membership at simviation so the download takes forever).
