The Chicago Piano or the 1.1-inch Quads was an anti-aircraft gun used on navy ships during WW2.

57 Why do seamen wear bell bottomed trousers?

commonly believed that the trouser were introduced in 1817 to permit men to roll them above the knee when washing down the decks, and to make it easier to remove them in a hurry when forced to abandon ship or when washed overboard. The trousers may be used as a life preserver by knotting the legs.

58 What is yum-yum?

54 - infirmiry

57 - bell bottoms - to protect shoeless sailors in the 1800s, or easier to roll up to climb the rigging.

Sully and I had to give this a go, because the rest of the "dirty dozen" was A-WoL the D-Man must have um out on a 24hr drunk I don't remember the OOD givin anyone permission to leave the old 3 Screw Maru..... or her sister the Filthy Dirty Rusty I.E. The D-man's boat

In the Royal Navy a Yeoman of Signals is a signalling/tactical communications petty officer....

51 A Signalman.

52 The Royal Marines.

53 A speed of one sea mile per hour.

54 The sick bay.

55 Chief Petty Officer.

56 A high-angle multiple pom-pom.

57 So that they may be rolled up easily (for swabbing decks etc).

59 Pennant.

60 The Boatswain's Mate.

The answer to 58 is missing from the book, in sailors jargon it could be anything from a loose women to summat like plum duff. If you attempted it give yerself a point or six.
