    L2D

Hi all. Does anyone know where we've stored this file? It's apparently needed to complete the scenery enhancement for Truk. I've looked all over the place but I can't seem to find it. Dog1 tells me it's here........oh really?

It's listed as L2D1_Tabby by Peperez in the archive section.

I hope you are installing Jean Bomber's Truk scenery as well as Dog1's.

    Funny you should ask, Kdriver

I installed Jean's Truk scenery as well........first, of course, howevah!!!!!!......followed the instructions to the letter and found ships sitting on dry land, no runway that I could find anywhere and a general mess......trees half under water, etc. so I took everything out. I have the pactex files in my main install so that shouldn't be a problem.

Having vented about that, I must tell you that I installed the Espirito Santo base and it is POIFECT!!!!!!!!!

Go figure!! The only error message I was getting for Truk was for the L2D file, whatever that is. Thanks for getting back to me on this.......much appreciated!

    Cheers!

    Hi Alpha_1,

Perhaps your scenery layers are out of order - they should look like this in the scenery library from within the sim:

    TrukIslands
    AtollTruk
    Mesh_scenery

I have the 6 textures provided in the TrukIslands layer, but no textures at all in the AtollTruk layer. I have Pactex2 textures in the main TEXTURE folder and the SCENEDB\world\texture folder.

Dog1's files can be placed in the AtollTruk layer.

If you have Rhumbaflappy's older Pacific coast flattens, delete M5042671.BGL and M5042711.BGL.

    It should look magnificent.

    Good luck!

    Kevin

    It's gone

I took it out, Kdriver, because I'm doing a base install with some extra airbases included because I like them. I would've enjoyed having the Truk scenery a part of it but by using more meshes I fear that will jeopardize stuff I already have installed. Anything that gives me any trouble at all is not included because I foresee problems down the line when I transfer to build another install.

As I mentioned, I put in his Espirito Santo and it's a beauty, as I'm sure Truk is. With Espirito Santo, I didn't need any extra meshes, etc. which, for a base install seems safest to me.

What I have installed is PHP2, Bruno's Malta, some European bases, the Aleutians, the Aru Islands, Tulagi, and MR's SI 2004. I've of course used the Pactex files for the PTO but no other meshes other than what's required for Malta. There's some very nice work being done out there.

I did find the pm_L2D, thanks Capt.

    Thanks again guys
