    congrats and thanks!

    hey Bill,
    This plane is a superbly executed proof-of-concept! And a great flyer.

    It looks great, feels good in the cabin, and the level of animation detail in the gear, for example, is stunning.

    Of course I luv all the knobs, and cant wait for the future designs

    CHAPEAU!!

    Paint kit is up. A huge 324 megs... arrgh.

    6 exterior files, PSD format for Adobe Photoshop. Features a 'near the bottom' base layer so you can start new, with all over effects and panel lines and things hovering over the top of the base layer.

    AVG apparently calls a virus threat on downloading the pdf manual from
    http://www.lionheartcreations.com/Boeing_797.html
    Anyone confirm this?

    I confirm it...

    Just great. Hackers again. They also hit my Bellanca Super Viking page. I havent found a way to clear it up. For some reason the hacking is invisible. I delete pages and put new ones in and its still there.

    Terrorism. These guys should be charged with terrorism.

    EDIT: If you access the manual by pasting in the address, you can get straight there into the PDF. http://lionheartworld.net/bwb/Boeing_797_Manual.pdf

    Some how, they have hacked links in my website.

    Thanks Tom.

    Looks like the link to the paint kit was also hacked. The thing tried to upload a virus onto my Apple iPad.

    Sad. I hope justice falls upon these hackers. May the Lord shut them down.

    I finally got a chance to play with the "production" version, and I like the new treatment of the panel colors!:ernae: The only thing I found (and really should have checked in the beta, sorry Bill) is the standby frequencies don't work. The Radios section of the aircraft.cfg should read:

    [Radios]
    // Radio Type=availiable, standby frequency, has glide slope
    Audio.1=1
    Com.1=1, 1
    Com.2=1, 1
    Nav.1=1, 1, 1
    Nav.2=1, 1, 1
    Adf.1=1
    Transponder.1=1
    Marker.1=1

    Also, for those that like to use the minipanel, you can spread the two displays by making this mod to the panel.cfg:

    [Window06]
    position=7
    size_mm=640,200
    window_size=0.75
    child_3d=1
    background_color=0,0,0
    ident=MINIPANEL
    gauge00=LHC_Boeing747-400!Primary Flight Display, 0, 0
    gauge01=LHC_Boeing747-400!Multi-Function Display, 467, 0

    Hey Tom,

    You know, that was on my list of things to do and I cant believe they didnt get done.

    The gentleman doing the config files had a different 2D panel and so I guess thats how the Stand-bye's were altered.

    Thanks for posting this.

    I'm preparing a small flight dynamics update with the kind permission of the author. I found this aircraft a tad stiff in the air so I've made it a bit more fluid in the sky. It will fly with a greater feel of mass and inertia a-la other jets this size. Otherwise this is a marvellous one-of-a-kind bird to get to know.

    Great bird, Lionheart. Despite what Aeromed says (above) I found it more nimble than I expected and unbelievably docile. A quick flight between Everett and Boeing Field was bracketed by a non-event takeoff and a non-event landing. :ernae:

    BTW, there is an 89KB file "Boeing_797" without file extension.
    What is it and where does it go?

    A tad high and a tad hot is better than a tad low and a tad slow - H52

    Maybe nimble would have been a better word to use. It seemed a bit too responsive and stopped too quickly after any control surface input was back to zero, does that make sense?
    Anyway I know it's just my take on the matter so I wanted to give it a little follow through on all axes. In fact now that I revisited it I think I went a little too far. Like I said a work in progress.

    Hey Hawkeye,

    That is the uninstaller file which my Installer didnt name properly. Go ahead and delete it.

    I thought I had uploaded the new version Installer without that file. I removed the uninstaller completely.

    Hey all,

    There is a Build 1.1 coming out. Its actually out at AVSIM now and should be at Simviation soon as well as here. I am trying to get the file flipped here (replaced) so it has the same download link.

    Fixes will include some Mods like Tom Clayton had created, such as the fix for the radios standby freq's, 2D panel mini panel view having open space between the screens, etc.

    Other fixes and mods are for the FSX version which has nothing to do with us all here. :d

    I will be making a refueler version as well. I was hoping to have it done by now. Hopefully very soon.

    Have started on a repaint but having trouble running FS Repaint with it, it crashes the programme
    Any ideas why? I dont have problems with any other aircraft with either hi res or low res textures.

    Cheers

    Hey Tony,

    It may be off the charts with polygons. Its created with FS9 Unlimited Export. The model is huge...

    It is still a Gmax derived model though...

    Bill, if you are making a tanker, and it's not too late, could you assign them to something that works in Recorder Module 1?

    I see it doesnt have Carrier Hook. hmm...

    Let me see what I can do. What I may have to do is some custom animation code switches. Thats if a want an alert gauge in the panel showing refuelers deployed, etc.
