Thanks Wing_Z - I am now enlightened. I think. As I tend to fly (if that's the right word!) by sense of smell it's not something I'm gonna get too involved with, methinks.

    Cheer, A.

And I have a very poor sense of smell...

Sorry Zsolt, Can't help you with the chocks & covers, but your repaint looks great!

Perhaps you might be doing a Hungarian livery?

Must admit tho' - still don't know what the Flight Director control would bring up or do in any other aircraft. Can someone enlighten me ?

    Cheers A.
The Flight Director is part of the ADI display ( analog or digital) - basically the two -vertical and horizontal) bars or V-pointer that provide Fly-TO indications. If an aircraft doesn't have a FD installed the command does nothing.. if it does, then the command turns on and brings up (or turns off) the FD part of the display.

Attachment 13828Attachment 13829 Default B737 shown. The control assignment is in :
    Attachment 13827
and is set by default in the FS installation so it should be there unless you have modified your commands list

Thanks sirG - I don't think this will affect my "fly-by-string" approach to flying !

The way I describe the Flight Director is "an indicator that works with the Autopilot system to tell you where to go instead of the Autopilot doing it for you."

This thing looks nice - too bad I have absolutely no skill or talent for keeping those flying eggbeaters in the air!
