FSX Acceleration Sopwith Camel based on David Eckert's Camel

I just posted a redone model of David Eckert's FS2004 Sopwith Camel for FSX Acceleration. It is a native FSX-A model and will only work in FSX-A. It has all of the original textures from the FS2004 version along with a new texture commemorating the 185th Aero Squadron.

The 185th was the only specialized night fighting squadron attached to the 1st Pursuit Group in 1918 which used Boulton and Paul built Camels instead of SPAD XIIIs. They were known as the "Bats" and was based at Rembercourt, France along with the 94th Aero. "Black 12" survived to the end of the conflict and was painted white after the armistice.

David Eckert, Jeffry Beckwith and John Terrell have kindly given me permission to repost the entire model.

    The aircraft is under

Wow, while I'm not a fan of that era's aircraft, it was great of you to take this on and update the models. I know there are a lot who will appreciate your efforts, well done.

    Fantastic !
Now, with a native Camel, FSX is finally a real Flight Simulator (c)
(sorry I started with FS5, so to me, no Camel, no FS :D )

The download is not visible yet in the library.
Funny thing is, the British Aircrafts section tells about a new entry, with 4 entries in total, and when you get there, you can only see 3 Spitfire...

    Excellent!

It's on the "New Files" page (second one down when I looked just) and I've grabbed it, but won't get chance to fly it until later.

    Thanks!

It's FsX with Acceleration rather than SP2.

I didn't think it was possible to have Acceleration installed without having SP2 along with it.....

Acceleration includes SP2, so no, it isn't. However Accel also includes a lot of new and unique code which SP2 doesn't. Just as examples, in order to use Anti-detonation injection, multi engine helicopter flight models, winch and sling lines or the carrier launch equipment on some naval aircraft, you will need Acceleration installed.

maybe we'll see the Eckert Stearman made native someday for FSX...?

I like the Camel, don't take it the wrong way... but I have a nice one in Rise of Flight that scratches that itch nicely
