    Question Baltimore AI's won't takeoff

I downloaded and installed John Whelan's Baltimores for MAW. They're very nice planes. My problem is in the missions. They have 8 planes in your group but only 6 seem to takeoff and 2 (the ones on the extreme right) never leave the ground and you can't warp if they don't takeoff. I've never run across this before. Is this a glitch in the mission or do I have to change a setting somewhere?

this can happen sometimes in MAW on some airfields. I especially have this problem with the Fiat G50 bis.

Yeah...and sometimes I had this during campaigns. What I did? Simple: flew back and shot those two cowards who refused to take off!!!
    So I could warp away...

I suppose shooting them would solve one problem, but then I'm their leader and I'd have to write the letters to the next of kin. Talk about a downer. There must be simpler way to fix this.

I just spent some time running all the missions. The only one that worked properly was" HH02 Benghazi Strike Baltimore". "HH05 Malta Baltimore Panic Luqa" only has one aircraft on the ground so it's not a problem. The other 4 missions, which includes "Attack on railyard at El-Agheila", do not work with the Baltimore. This led me to an interesting find though, when I choose to replace the aircraft in my flight with say a Maryland or Beaufighter all the missions starts out perfectly and all the aircraft takeoff just as they are suppose to. I did not run them to conclusion to see how they ended.

Look on the bright side - at least they just sit there uselessly. In First Eagles, they career all over the place aimlessly, up hill and down dale, round and round in circles and here, there and everywhere, and still fail to take off. Talk about Artificial Intelligence...

I did not do it with this mission, but couldn't one just delete the last two listed in the mission xml file (of the group where the player is in)?

I just flew all the balitmore missions, in every case the bombers took off, and i am pleased to say
That I achived all the goals each time..
It has to be something in the way different computers are set up??
I am sure our aircraft are all the same..
the AI may work in a way that is different from computer to computer? Oh well, I can honestly say I did enjoy re-flying these... haven't flown them since they were sent out..
Rarely re-fly missions once they are sent out..
    Always building more..

    Red face

I'm using Windows 7 64bit so that may be the problem, but this is the only real problem I've encounter in MAW so far. Ok, the view inside the new B-24D ball turret is kind of a double image, but that's an issue for a different thread and I don't spend all day in there anyhow.

If I want to fly these missions I guess I can always substitute the Maryland. Same manufacture, same mission type, and they often flew in mixed formations with Baltimores, A-20s, B-25s, etc.

(And if you put the Baltimore's cockpit into the Maryland, it looks reasonably credible to say the least. Same layout, more or less, same manufacturer, etc. Just for info!)
