    Ar 196

Read that the Ar is wanted. Ok, I have it and it is nearly complete except for two things. First it needs cockpits and second to be mapped/textured. If you want it send me a pm and it is yours to complete. I'll rename all the parts, add the emitters and damageboxes, develop a damage profile and flightmodel too! If someone would do the pits I'll even texture the girl. Those of you who want it, I am not sure that I'll ever get around to finishing it. Would be a shame to waste it.....

The following planes will be released, in order by me:

    The J series (ETO/CC) of the B-24 (Luca's excellent D converted)
    Sunderland MkIII (all new)
    He_177 A5 (all new model)

After that I am finishing the NJG theater with Mongoose (no planes until it its released)

I have a great P-61, Gekko, and He 115C all needing someone to spend the time to complete. Guys and gals, despite what you have heard using gmax or max is not bad. Requires time, a willingness to learn, and the most difficult part is just getting the model ready for the game. I will tutor anyone who wants to try.

BTW, I voted for the two tonne thingy on my head!

Yes, I hear a tee time calling ..... fore! (or is it four) who knows all I know is that I say it often!

    Arado 196

    Nacht,

First let me explain that I did that poll as a "comical way" to inquire about your Arado since I am very much still interested in it. And as a gauge of who else might be. Didn't mean to put you on the spot, especially with everything else you have going on over there.

Second, yeah I'd love to inheriet it, since it would be the only bird I'd feel comfortable putting in the time on, since it shouldn't be too overly complicated for me (in comparison) AND a bird I'd love to be able to fly again. (In the fictitious NJG26 Staffel we used them alot in CFS1). Great news there.

So thanks for this post. It answered my question, & maybe opens the door to future projects.

I have all the tools (I believe) necessary to begin work on it (upon your approval).

I sincerely would like to take over the project rather than start cold, if you are willing.

It truly is the project I'd have started my own Gmax endeavors for, and is how this came up.

So yeah, sign me up for the late shift, I'll be in touch via PM. "Cheers" & ~S~

Thinking about it , cfs3 has been very slow to get all the planes it should have.We are very close now, to having the majority of important aircraft, represented. American :- b17, b24,b25,Bosten,p47,P51,P40,P39,P38,Avenger,Dauntle ss, F4u4 ,F3,Hellcat, (Buffalo Is missing) British:-Lancaster, Wellington, Blenhiem,Whitely, Halifax,Spit ,Hurricane,---- Ok I'm gunna stop now as I will not be able to remember every aircraft made. In fact there are now so many it's easier to note those missing. French ,Polish,Italian, Japanese ( Understandably, as we originally had no Theater for them. Rufe, G4m1 (Flyable),Mavis, Emily.) Russian, numerous other small countries , that used other countries aircraft. The german ones are harder to understand. He 177, He 115, Ar 196,Me 410,Me 163,( actually the 163 is the ultimate "quick combat" aircraft.)
CFS3 is maturing as it gets older rather than fading away !!! It has a future, that has nothing to do with it's original creators (microsoft) When CFS3 is eventually superceeded, it will be by something awesome, not just an incremental step up.

    Steve

Let's see ...... not too much work.

The two top gun portals, different exhaust and engine details, not sure what else is different. Do like the skins on these earlier ones though, the dark earth camo vs the white with blue/gray. Let's get the mk3 done first.

BTW, all I need to do is finish up the bomb bay area, a few minor gunstation pieces and then it is mapping the whole thing. I'll make one with the leigh light too. Need to make a Catalina with a light.

The step on the underside of the hull is quite different

    Mk.I like this:-

And Mk.III and later like this:-

    Well ....

..... if that is the case, I am inclined not to do it. Making the hull is a pain, but we'll see.
