Any photos would be helpful but I realy need some good cockpit photo at this time for gauge work. Thank you Matt.

I am knocking out one gauge at a time and getting the animations right, here is what I have at the moment.Attachment 47806

I am having some problems with the external view as it is not showing me the parts in the cockpit, not too sure what I am doing rong it is a very complex model with lots of moving parts and just lots of parts period. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thank you

    Bill

It's possibly because the parts don't yet feature in the external model's hierarchy - each cockpit part you want showing from the outside needs to be in both VC and external model.

Well sorry for not posting sooner but things have been very busy for me, I have some brake threws as far as learning how to edit xml code and make my custome gauges. I will post some pics soon. Hope I have not lost any of you as this project is taking so long. Learning how to build a compleet aircraft from the ground up is no easy task and I am having some growing pains along the way. Please don't loose intrest as I will have a compleat Vc soon and all I will need to do is slap some paint in there and should be good. Wounder how the flight modeling is going?

Attachment 48835 I have a totle of six gauges with full animation and mouse click points. I know it's not much but learning how to edit xml's so I can make custome gauges is making things take a little longer but I am understanding them much better and am able to make some good looking gauges.

The VC is getting some paint and the I will finish up the rest of the gauges. Still need to do some adjustments to the mapping and add more details.

Anyone who has done this kind of work will know just how much time and effort it takes to get this far, and it's the little bits that take so much time. Good job Bill!

Well thank you hairyspin, I have much more to do yet but it will be a nice model when done. The gauges are what is taking me so long as if I can't find good pics of them on the internet then I have to make custom bmp's of the parts and it just takes lots of time. Stay tuned as I will get more done and post some pics.

Sorry for not posting in awile, I have not had the time to do much of anything on this project. I am still having some truble with the gauges and how they are supose to work, I am not the best when it comes to how to make the gauges work. If anyone could lend a hand at this it would help push this project along alot faster. Ounce I get one VC compleet then things will come alot faster and should have the models done. Thank you all for your suport and agine sorry for this taking so long.

Thank you Cag40Navy, this last year has been very bizzy for me and I have not had very much time to work on the models, I was thinking that if anyone would like to do some annimation for me I could build the gauges in g-max and have someone animat them and do custom xml if needed. Just wounted to throw that out there so we could get these models done.

    Great progress Bill

Keep in mind that there are working gauges in the FS Gauges folder, all in xml.
The default gauges would be a great starting place to get the basics in place or a sense of what you need.

Then go to FFDS or FSDeveloper where they have working code gauges available to copy.

Take you time; its all a learning process and will be a great source of satisfaction every step of the way.
