Love that WWII tech. The first half of my Navy career was on WWII era vessels.

Whoever is maintaining that boat is doing a pretty fine job. That's a cool site. Love that one of the inside of the forward part of the hull, but outside the pressure hull. Awesome!

....Great link! Here in Chicago there's the German U-505. If you're passing through Chicago this summer,...or anytime,....it's well worth the stop to view the sub at the Museum of Science and Industry. Some years ago,...persons with deep pockets...helped fund the U 505 project by having it rehabbed and having it 'sunk' below ground. Heck,...you can even mess with an Enigma machine!

Thanks NC,
That is one brilliant website. Some awesome views. Did anyone look up at the cielings?
I agree. Gives you a better idea of whats under that external deck area. I had heard and caught glimpses that all subs had a sort of fake surrounding over the actual pressure hull; liftable deck plates, tons of piping barely visible under the deck vents, etc..
Did you see all that rust?? Man.. That thing is aged.. If only there was a way to stop all the rust and coat the exterior with a new coating that would keep it from rusting.. (that was environmentally safe and wont cause humans to grow extra parts that is).

There is more than meets the eye there on that site.
