Happy as Hell Denny didn't have one more lap or the win would have wound up in the 48 camp.
It takes some guts to drive a stock car to a major race win with that leg he has. I really can't imagine how he sums up the gonzo to fight the pain.

i saw most of the race...including the Texas version of 'the big one'...
seems like late race cautions and the double file restart breed big wrecks
Hamlin could barely put any weight on that knee after he got out of the car..to 'gut it out' like that and win the race is purty impressive.
biggest rivalry in nascar right now is Jimmie vs Jeff....
Johnson once again pulls off an unbelieveable finish by blowing a tire (after him and gordon got together) falling to about 17th and still finishing 2nd...like Cazzie said...one more lap and Johnson would have had it.
Hey All,
Yeah I was at work and so didn't see it. I heard Jimmy would have got there in one more lap. Where's the GWC when ya need it? Oh well 2nd keeps him up there in the points. Looks like Denny better hire a raindancer for sundays if he does this well on Mondays! Pretty good to drive with a bum leg - too bad next week isn't a road course - so he could show us how tough he really is - instead of just workin the throttle on an oval. I heard the "big one" was caused by Stewart? True?
An edit: I just saw it at NASCAR.COM it was Stewart with help from Edwards. I get the impression Jeff Gordon is getting seriously sick and tired of not winning. Actually if not Jimmy I serious wish Jr could have won this one as he is good at Texas. He got his first win at Texas - I still remember how happy Sr was.
