BTW what kind of smoke trail does a C-17A put out?

Externally, have thought this to be one of the best looking releases last November, but AS has really messed over the buyers by promising a release of a VC and 2D pit two months ago, that has now been pushed to April or May for the 2D, apparently being released by Flight1 instead of AS. Also, seems a bit shady they are not willing to update their website to explain the struggles with getting their act together to release their VC and 2D pit. Anyway, would love to purchase this beauty, but am going to await the verdict of their pits.

I should have known better but I posted 3 textures of the C-17A that I did because I liked them.

I bought the C-17A last week. I wouldn't have done that if I thought there would be no VC coming.

Disclosure: Yes I have done textures for the AlphaSim that were part of the releases but I PAID for this product.

Moderators: Please lock this before it really goes down hill.

I quit posting at SOH about 15-18 months ago because of the negativism that was so prevalent. Nothing has changed and with that I will end participation.

Russ, thank you for posting the pictures. I haven't see any Alphasim bashing going on in this thread. I think letting people know that the aircraft doesn't have a VC is more of a public service announcement that bashing.

If it gets to the point of everybody telling their horror stories, the thread will probably be closed. So far, I don't see that happening.

Russ, my intent was not be be a bashing of AS either, it was an information campaign. I too have almost bought their beautiful looking shell, noting that in their not so very current website posting that their VC/2D should be released any day. However, there are some people that have been getting direct email updates about the turmoil and delays AS is experiencing. Bottom line is I feel they are not updating their website in hopes of continuing to sell their shell at a rather high price with no clear road ahead on the VC/2D. I just want to prevent others such as yourself, from being deflated by either a very late 1.1 release or even the chance of nothing coming to light, as has happened with other company releases. Virtualavia.com is an unofficial support forum, that stays more up to date and Crewchief seems to have the most current inside track of info.

Lastly, you have produced some beautiful skins and I certainly don't want my info Op to diminish your hard work.
