Here are what the trees look like using 256x256 bitmaps. If I used the 512 ones I couldn`t have done half thoes trees.

    Hi Bob,

WOW lots of trees! That does look impressive, good work!

I'll take a look and see if I can come up with another palm tree texture with the long grass below. You can convert all my tree textures from 512 to 256 if you like which will give you a few more trees to choose from. I'm at the office now but when I get home I'll take a look and see what I can come up with.

    Cheers

leroy10, make the palms and the grass the same color as thies trees. I have found that the darker the color the harder it is for my pc to process the trees and dark colors eat up my frame rates.I tank you so much for the work you have done and the work you are doing.

    Hi Bob,

Here's a palm tree with grass underneath for you to test. I've changed one of palms to use the same palette as the tree you liked and converted it to 256x256. Hopefully it will give you better FPS. http://coastnet.net.au/cfs2/test_palm.zip

I've only included the texture so to test it you'll you'll need to rename it to suite. If it's suitable for your needs I'll make it a library object.

    Question

Were you planning to redo all five of the palms for better framerates ?

    Just wondering

I tested the new bitmap and it did fine.It lowered my fps by about 1 to 2 fps but not enough to make that much differance. The FPS stayed most of the time between 20 and 30 FPS and for my machine that is good with as much infrastructure as I have GSLed.To give you an idea of what it looks like here are some pics.We need this tree. While you are at it could you add some grass and folage to the Generic tree_6 bitmap that you have out making it the same color as the grass with this tree if it is not much of a problem. The way I tested the bitmap was to replace the other one with this one.The reason I am asking for the grass and folage around the Generic tree#6 Large is that I have an idea on how to use it to give a better jungle look.

    Hi All,

sc7500, well I wasn't exactly planning on it but if it will benefit members I will.

Bob, the pics look great! I'll add some grass to the generic 6 tree and while I'm at it I'll do one with just grass which you may be able to utilize.

    Cheers

Yep, I've been using Leroy's trees for years and CFS 2 wouldn't be the same without 'em.

Regarding trees, Wolfi's tree clusters (4 types: evergreen through jungle) are also very useful when creating large forest like Bob's.

    Hi Bob,

Here's the generic 6 tree with some grass planted underneath and also a simple plain grass texture. Still only the textures for testing purposes at this stage as I've been busy with real world work today.
